The amber turtle friend on my pinky is my newest shiny treasure from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social My dad is Danish. I have a special affinity for amber—one of the few things I have from his mom is a chunky amber necklace. I’m so glad Bluesky introduced me to y’all.

A Christmas 🧵🎄🕯️ When I was little, there was no talk of Santa in my evangelical household. However, my dad is a Danish greencard holder, so we did have julenissen. My Farmor (father’s mother) knit this little guy who would visit on Christmas Eve for a treat.
