for reference i work as a tutor + camp counsellor the way some of my coworkers talk about the kids annoys me sometimes. not TO the kids btw if that difference even matters but i'd NEVER describe a kid as dumb like. we can talk abt their behavioural issues without going there

but yeah nobody at work knows i'm trans. generally ppl tend to assume i'm gay. i'm not but honestly i'd much rather keep that misunderstanding going. i highly doubt anyone i work with would be transphobic if they knew, i just don't really want to disclose that part of my life at work lol

we've got a bunch of activities planned for the summer, including a lot of beach days and trips to waterparks, and honestly i'm stressed as fuck about them. not helped by the fact that i can't even swim, but whatever i'm there to supervise the kids, not enjoy the place myself

working with kids is fun but as a trans person it's also stressful as fuck sometimes. a kid accidentally caught a glimpse of my binder and asked if I was wearing a bra. i told her it was just an undershirt, and she started yelling that she wanted to see it and then tried to pull my shirt down 😭
