By accident I clicked on a bookmark I’d saved of bbc from sept 2020. In the meta data I’d saved daily recorded figures of deaths and infection rates, tracking it over the period. I’ve never had a chill like that gave me in any ‘horror’ film. Just remembering what we actually went through…

I think we have been in crisis after crisis since 2008(ish). We are used to being in the middle of one, then something allows us to ignore what we went through. I worry that all of us today are never going to get to be out of crisis mode again. We are taken advantage of by bad ppl. Every day.

Seems world ‘leaders’ adopted conflict mantra as their own. And company bosses. My personal distaste is when society sees conflict as the only situation bringing the change. “Conflict brings about such advances!” - brings bile up. Change happens always. The best result isn’t a new weapon.

I saw in a recent news article that armed autonomous flying drones are going to be a thing. Imagine if the system shares a learning structure with feedback from each node. Then one of them tries to be more efficient by deleting an ethical discernment module. We can literally smell skynet. 😱
