Before I had #solarpanels and a #homebattery installed I calculated how much I'd save each year off my energy bill. Most years I have smashed that original prediction, this year I've almost reached that target with 3 months still to go! Solar and batteries make such a difference

tbf I am very shit at games. I usually play on story mode so the puzzles are simple and the baddies die when I breath near them. I just like the interactive story part really! A bit of escapism. I got fed up with the original Assassin's Creed because too many baddies jumped me about 25% through

That’s a bit of a pipe dream really. Yes it would be great but the reality is it requires so much co-operation between grid, suppliers, chargers and car manufacturers that the only way it’ll ever happen is if it’s legislated to be mandatory

Holy shit! Like bollocks is climate change not real, my solar panels generated 651 kWh in July. Not only is that abnormally high for July, it's also the most my panels have ever generated in a single month by a HUGE margin. Previous record was 596 kWh in May 2023.

Yes, WireGuard / WG Easy... that's my choice. It's for occasional use, will be fine. There's no dedicated firewall and I've been running OpenVPN on my old Synology for years with no performance issues.

I looked at SyncThing but decided Nextcloud was more suitable for me and my needs - it's essentially the same as SynologyDrive! Not heard of BorgWarehouse so will go check that out now

Still working on moving away from my Synology NAS but I need to find alternatives for critical functions. I'm stuck on replacing Hyper Backup, Hyper Backup Vault, and Active Backup for Business. Anyone got any suggestions that they've used? Ideally Docker-based and open source!
