I was dreaming of the coast today, but I ended up far from it on a hot, muggy, dusty trail. Clouds were interesting though. The ones in the left here almost looked to be casting a shadow across their portion of the sky, like rain. #hiking

My son really hoped the #sunset was going to be amazing. It wasn’t what he hoped for, but sunsets are like pizza. When it’s good, it’s really good. When it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.

Yes! They’re a small bush variety. I think they would do well in a container. I got them at Harmony Farms, though there may be a closer nursery to you that stock them. Highly recommend them!

I just ate one of the tiny red ones raw. Perfect amount of sweetness with just a tiny tinge of bitter. I can’t wait to make an omelette with some tomorrow. They’re called lunchbox bell peppers. They’re much smaller than bell peppers, but extremely prolific. I have a couple dozen more yet to pick

iNaturalist calls them Belladonna Lilies, which I prefer to call them with people I don’t know, not wanting to inadvertently offend them. I do enjoy pointing them out by their common name to my wife and watching her roll her eyes.

It’s that time of year again. The blackberry patch gave up about 8 cups of berries today. They’re not super sweet so far, but the sugar in the recipe makes up for it. I can’t wait for this pie to cool. #baking

More than 2 males is… fun. Our experience was near round the clock crowing, but we’re down to 2 males now (and 9 females). Good times, and fun eggs. More work than chicken eggs. Ever tried hard boiling them? I’m curious if it’s worth the effort.
