Interesting Nova fact: she became more clingy and more vocal after her tooth removal surgery and what does that tell me? They might hide their pain but it's very obvious when they're feeling good.

Nova was so worried about me being in the shower that she had to sit in front of it the entire time I was in there. Now she has to nuzzle up to me because her scent markers need to be refreshed. Cats are great.

Very good! An interesting thing that happened once I learned how to set boundaries was that people in my friend group really showed me how little respect they had for me. Needless to say I haven't talked to any of these people for years now.

I also had a guy like that in a friend group, only the queen bee of the group would always protect the guy and try to force us to get along. He would also passive-aggressively blackmail us into activities he wanted to do even if everyone else wanted to do something else. It was really disruptive.

Went out for more paté-esque cat food for Nova and I'm honestly disappointed that the pet supply store near me now stocks more trash food than good cat food. Good brands have little niche sections, meanwhile full shelves are dedicated to Purina and similar. Terrible.

From what a friend told me about their cat wanting to eat dry food after tooth surgery I'm also guessing cats don't really realize they're lacking the teeth required for certain foods after they've had surgery.

It's one of those paté type foods and the good thing is that it's fairly easy to transition her to an adult version of a better brand once she's eating more. I'm really unsure what the real issue is, but my best guess is that she wants something that could in theory be chewed without having to chew

My ups and downs with Nova's eating habits continue since she suddenly had trouble again yesterday so today while consulting my shelf that holds all treats, supplements and other stuff I noticed I still had some kitten food. She was really into that so I guess that's my solution for now.

Her rhinitis is also getting a lot better. Both the dental vet and my usual vet said there's no guarantee that it will go away but right now it's manageable.

Finally got an appetite stimulant for Nova (if it doesn't work then it has at least a good amount of calories). She managed to take herself up to at least half rations over the weekend. She's extremely vocal now and clingy which I think is very cute.

Nova sat on my chest this morning, reminding me too much of Freddie... She did eat some wet food on her own for breakfast without me having to point it out to her a couple of times. Only a tiny little bit but that's better than no food at all.

On the upside: She's still extremely good to give pills to and her mouth smell is already improving. Before the tooth extraction it smelled like death whenever she cleaned herself. I can't say I have smelled it today.

I just figured out that Nova will eat soaked dry food (soaked long enough to make it completely soft) but only if I put it one by one in front of her on the floor. Better than my attempts at syringe feeding her. And more calories too while being less messy. Alright then.

Good: Nova is easy to pill with a pill dispenser syringe. Bad: I need to syringe feed Nova because she still doesn't eat on her own. Worse: When syringe feeding she will try to paw the syringe away which makes this a lot harder since I'm alone.

Every time I think Nova isn't sniffly right now she will hack up some snot and her nose is suddenly wet again. Only a few more days, then her bad teeth will get removed and the vet dentist agreed that there's a good chance her rhinitis will also clear up. Fingers crossed please.

Had an ai bro at an IT seminar today. Him: you can put your excel tables into an ai and ask it what to do and it will give you a step by step guide I held back... Honestly, are we not learning any software skills anymore?? I know how to do vlookup without giving ai my data.
