September has gone. A month I usually enjoy. There's a quietness to it, a softness. But it has passed me by this year as if it never existed, my mind has been focused on other things. And now my second least-favourite month is here, followed soon by the worst month. Ugh

My sister is on the move back to Carlisle hospital. The fluid on her heart is getting worse rather than improving so she has to have it aspirated. Best case scenario is a with a needle, worst case is a drain. Neither is nice, but hopefully they can do it with a needle

Terrestrial TV recommendations welcomed. My brain has moved very slightly beyond early Doris Day and Jane Powell musicals, but only a smidge. I've seen the new series of Colin from Accounts and Ludwig (meh?) but that's the level. Not side splitting comedy but amusing. No thrillers, crime or gritty

So, my sister was admitted with pretty bad pneumonia on 30 Aug. Responded well to treatment and was breathing by herself, chest drain out and with enough mobility to go to the loo by herself 10 days later. Moved to a different hospital and rapidly went down hill. 14 days after the move 1/2

TV is either paid for by subscriptions OR ads. Not both. I can't stand ads (they used to be an art form in their own right but now they are shit and unbearable), so subscription was fairly appealing whilst it was a fair price. I have no idea why anyone would still subscribe if there are also ads

Fell racing is still the most inclusive athletic sport I've come across. Gender doesn't matter, nor if you are are speedy mountain goat or a stompy marmot, wirey and lean or strong and powerful. The winners wait and cheer the slower ones over the line. If you get round you are worthy of respect

3rd day in a row that I'm going to do the 4hr round trip to whitehaven hospital so.i can spend time with my sister. The combo of the drive and the time in the hospital with a never ending barrage of medical staff, which is all to the good, is utterly draining. Can feel my own resistance getting low

So, they moved my sister. AT ONE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. They swapped beds with a woman who is one day from discharge and was bored in a side room. But 1AM!!! Could they not have moved that woman on monday when they said they needed my sister's bed?

Sister having another blood transfusion, as well as an additional kind of antibiotic. The oxygen she's on isn't getting through to her. And meanwhile the TV is blaring, the other people have their visitors babbling and one patient is wailing. Is that how they think people best recover?
