Doing ab crunches this morning when the Coasters' came on with "Take out the papers and the trash..." opening line of "Yakkety Yak." I had to stop the exercise from laughing at those lyrics. Anyone else remember those songs? "Charlie Brown" "Poison Ivy?" What memories.

Sounds like the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action that Obama and other countries signed. It worked great! But because it had Obama's name on it, it wasn't any good for Trump so he walked out of the agreement. How will he get out of this jam?

No idea if WP'ers are forced to listen to Fox for 4 years. Where would they find the time? Here's something that made me laugh. When the jury found the Candidate guilty of a felony, I decided to see how Fox was handling it. They never mentioned it, instead talking about the Biden "Crime Family"!

I agree. I didn't mention that I lived next door (Cornwall on Hudson) to West Point most of my life. My mother worked there. I had friends who went there. I ran distance races with many of them, played bridge with officers and teachers there. Never heard of any conduct I would call "brainwashing."

You are correct. They were Class of 51 and Class of 62. I have no recollection of their political stances back then as I was just a kid, but later in life the older one was a Trump diehard, the younger one was active for peace. I have never heard that the Academy brainwashed anyone however.

I do not believe that and wish you could clarify. My 2 BILs were West Point grads. One went on to vote for Trump’s first term. The other protested vigorously against war and did not vote for Trump. The academies are above supporting Trump.

This is exactly right. Evaluating risk is tricky and complex. That is why Kahneman, Thaler and others contributed so many helpful studies on decision-making and risk. The scope is far greater than investment banking. Thank you.

All instructional designers work in the same three learning domains. What the learner needs to know, do and feel. Focusing on helping the learner trust the medium is a powerful issue. I will also add that total focus on know without the do is not a definition of learning.

Here's another option that I'm going to do. Let's say you joined BlueSky and now notice that every other post you read is more bad news about Trump. Simple, go back to those you follow and stop following most of them. Pick 2-3 to keep and stop flooding yourself with bad, sad news.
