by resting mean also not writing—I haven't written for the last 2-3 weeks to remove some tasks and recover from an intensely-paced few months. it's hard when writing is rest and also work, taking a break from writing is sometimes important! BUT NEXT WEEK I return to discovery drafting my novel 👀

I finished my first half of the semester, yaaaay!! annnnd I immediately deep dusted my bedroom compulsively because I had been wanting to do it for ages and never had the time. I THINK that's restful, if it feels good to be in a less dusty space??? but yes now to try to relax for real for 2 days!!

sooo some magazines list their issues on goodreads. I stumbled onto a couple of ones that mention my work and damn, I can see why people say not to read reviews. short fiction can be rough!! for me a lot of the review feedback is negative, which sometimes makes me wonder if I'm any good at this 😅

literally same, hal is such a great, charming asshole in this show 😂 but I'm a millennial who grew up on justice league the 00s animated series with less of a concept of hal, john stewart was my introduction to the lanterns! so it's been interesting to see what they're doing with his backstory!!
