I highly recommend reading the manga. I believe your needs will be met, ever so slowly but clearly.

Trump just taught Ukraine to be independent, rather then to make them beg for help. This is probably why he hates them so much. They refuse to be cowed.

Page 1 of 8. Page has a light green frame.

Chis-A from Flavor Foley’s “Clover” stands at an easel with a blank canvas, using her paintbrush to check the proportions of Hatsune Miku from “Static,” who poses for her on a stool.

Chis-A asks “So… Who would Miku like to be?”

Dogshit boring take, and the idea that anyone else outside of the Toei corporation -- in another country -- isn't allowed to make a show in the same genre is asinine. Scrappy productions from passionate artists recycling similar ideas are fundamental to the history of toku.

Big thanks to @kaijucomiccast.bsky.social for finding the Genforcer project and making this happen! This is a great read for anyone who wants an inside look on how toku is made from the ground up in other countries, but my favorite part is how they speak about AI in toku.

KU: It was great to see that you won’t be using generative AI. What drove you to take that stance?

BY: I don’t feel like it’s as much of a big deal as people make it out to be, as much as it is the right thing to do. Tokusatsu superhero shows often speak about doing the right thing, saving the world, a better future, etc. It can’t be better if we’re selfishly destroying our means for survival for our own personal or corporate gain.

As a team, we felt the need to make our policy on Generative AI extremely clear because we’re a little tired from entertaining talk about the ‘potential’ of using Gen AI to accelerate production and reduce costs.

Also, as a creative, if we really want to make Tokusatsu, and if it’s going to be such a huge part of what makes our project tick, I think that we have to remember that special effects filmmaking matters as much as the superhero element does. Using Generative AI to speedrun the process defeats the whole purpose of it being Tokusatsu in the first place. It may be a product, but it won’t be Tokusatsu.

Fanart of Tayama/Yamada from "Smoking behind the supermarket with you" manga (スーパーの裏でヤニ吸うふたり), holding a packet of condom. On the below left corner of the image, we can see Sasaki from the same manga, in a bubble and with an awkward face. Drawing donc on a sketchbook with black pen.
