also honourable mention goes to this one Rouen cathedral by Monet that was in the first even artbook about impressionism I had as a kid (I was maybe five?). I was entranced by it, and I think it was the beginning of my love affair witgh impressionism

I queued with my dad for four hours when it was being showed in national museum in Warsaw and nothing prepared me for seeing it in person. the light. the technique. how fucking three dimensional it was. no reproduction can ever compare. Caravaggio was just too powerful.

This started out as a sticker design, but a whole poster grew out of it. I used to play with 60s psychedelic poster style way back in art school, I want to explore it again. gouache on paper. #traditionalart

phase one (that required moving the furniture) is done! now kitchen and a hall there'll be new curtains as well

re:colours, yesterday instead of working on new stickers design, I catalogued my polishes, and now I no longer have to pull out fifteeen bottles to decide what shade I want

in attempt to keep my head above water I visited newly open moomin cafe in my city. they have vegan rolls and some neat drinks, like this pine tea, I like it here.

She improves so much faster than him and truly tries to make amends.

And people always defend Bones by saying “he’s just joking, he doesn’t actually mean it,” to which my response is, so fucking what?? He’s still saying it. He’s still othering Spock. Spock, someone who was bullied and isolated his entire life for being too different from the Vulcans, and even though he now ostensibly has a home and fits in on the Enterprise, he still has to hear this shit from Bones all the time. It can’t feel good, even if he knows Bones doesn’t actually dislike him. And even if Spock didn’t have that backstory, it’s still fucking shitty to tell your friend “you don’t belong because of your race,” regardless of if it’s “just a joke.”

As to the point that Spock “bites back” but Data doesn’t so that makes it okay when Bones does it, but not Pulaski, I still call bullshit. It doesn’t fucking matter how Spock/Data respond, it’s still wrong to say it in the first place.

Pulaski’s shittiness is at least part of an arc; it shows her as clearly wrong and she learns to be better. Bones just continues on and it’s framed as normal."

I've got some watercolour paper samples and so far I really like hahnemuhle's britannia (rough and cold pressed samples here). I also like how I let this little island on second picture stay so abstract and undefined. Watercolour used here are Roman Szmal and Rosa Gallery. #ArtSky #traditionalart
