The way Thong Song breaks into an epic refrain like it belongs on the soundtrack for The Matrix, when it's a dude singing about underpants. They really don't write them like they used to.

I met Romero once, years ago. He was super nice, and enthusiastic. Took the time to chat for a couple minutes. My dad ended up having a drink with Carmack by chance earlier this year, and said he was nice as can be, if a little intense. Maybe he's chilled out as he's gotten older.

Last night, I completed all the canonical Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Thoughts: 1: Still the GOAT 2: Better than you remember, but unfortunate 3: Second-best in the series, no notes 4: Second-best heroine, best ending 5: Real dumb, but real fun 6: Should have ended the series with 4

As something of an absolute non-expert on the subject, laugh with the whole body, start with an elongated laugh, tempo'd short laughs, and end on one strong, elongated "Haaaa!" and then hit them with the next line sharply @ajfidalgo.com would you agree?

Wolverine is very good, except the story tries to do too much. Resident Evil was a gat dang blast and Zach Cregger is three for three in my book. I haven't seen Forgotten Island, I am sorry.

I love looking at apartment complex reviews. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Never moved in, never toured, but it was sunny outside when I drove by. ⭐⭐: "AH PARKED MAH TRUCK IN THE SWIMMIN' POOL CUZ I WAS BEEN DRINKIN' AN' THEY HAD IT TOWED WITHOUT TELLIN' ME!"

Led the team to the AFC Conference Championship in just his second season, and made Josh Allen openly weep. But okay.

Condolences to NBC pre-game for the brief instances they had to not talk about the Rams. I'm sure it was painful.

Bowles is not a head coach. He was awful in New York, too. He's a defensive coordinator, a good one even, and I don't really know why the Bucs have tried to force it for so long.

It's not that bad. It's cheesy and shameless, but it's not an awful movie.

I hit 150 movies for the year on my Letterboxd. Rounded out 149 and 150 with a double feature last night of A Nightmare On Elm Street Parts 1 and 2. Had thoughts on both! (Sorry for all the scrolling) letterboxd.com/dtcarel/list...

I finished Wolverine on PS5. The story gets wonky and too complicated at the end for its own good, but it's not a disaster, it's not boring, it's not too hand-holdy, it's just not Spider-Man and everyone is mad at Sony, so it got panned. It's a perfectly fine game with some great high points.

I saw the video of the dude on the motorcycle sequence, and I really think he had QTE assist turned on to troll the game. QTEs are fine. I've had zero issues and yes, it is very fun to play. Lots of big, bombastic moments, just like the Spider-Man games. Also, Sabertooth fuckin' rules in this.

I briefly worked in a print/fabrication shop in early 2020. It was the foreman's birthday, and the owner said he was going to do something special. So he went out and bought frozen beef patties and grilled them outside. No buns. No cheese. No condiments. And 2 Snickers bars for 6 people to share.

The best part about having Thursday Night Football on Netflix is the fact that none of my friends are watching, so I have no one to talk with about the game as it's happening. Love it. Thanks NFL.
