After playing around with this a bit I feel like it has to have bouncy inertia physics like Sinistar. Also might add a timer and counter to see how many baddies you can take out in 60 seconds. And some of the weapons from Starslayer as power-ups, like the guided torpedoes.

Had my yearly eye test today, happy to report there are no real changes from last year. Which is great. I did get a new pair of reading glasses, though. Then I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up after a Windows update, as you do. All back to working normal again, thankfully.

It works now and I have a singular cursor/camera system, as opposed to the 4 different systems I had initially. Sometimes you have to break it to make it... work.

Updating some camera code and one room just did NOT want to play nice. Spent a couple of hours trying to work out why it didn't work the same as another room that was fine. Finally tracked it down to an old camera object that was hidden and hadn't been deleted because some code still pointed to it.

There was a bug that made the cursor rotate to face the object you were near but it was so cool I made a new image so that it works like a visual hint. That's the magic stuff that happens surprisingly often and why doing the work is worth it.

Productive week. I rewrote the map screen from scratch getting rid of a lot of the gimmicky 3D. Here's the new mousified version. I just sorted out an issue that was bugging me for the last few hours so I'm making pizza and watching a movie now.

Auspost mess-up with a package they couldn't deliver somehow now sitting 2 states away all week instead of at a local pickup spot. Getting any help is broken chatbots and automated voice that just links you back to the chatbots or bad web forms. Yes, mucho productivity gains there.

Are you sure that's not just a big cockroach? Those look more like bendy antennae than spider legs. Though I can attest to huntsmen liking to hang out in showers. Had that interraction way too many times.
