Isn't it nice how the Democrats and NPR (and everyone else) are singing the praises of Lindsey Graham, what a wonderful caring colleague, and all the wonderful things he did? It sure sounds like there must be a different Lindsey Graham that they are speaking about, not the senator I remember.

At the risk of kicking the hornet's nest, it is nice that the Platner trolls have gone elsewhere. I imagine their Russian handlers/financiers have moved them to other more pressing races?

Ah fountain pens. I once had a meeting with a visiting program manager who was back in the US from his overseas assignment in eastern Europe. A program specialist from another division joined us. We got together at the appointed time and all 3 of us pulled out our notebooks and fountain pens.

If trump's signature is put on curreny, I wonder how common it will be for people to write on such bills "Convicted felon!", "Convicted rapist!", and other such banners, or obscure the signature?

It is rumoured that dear leader is going to have his image plasatered in the cover of passports. If the Democrats can't come up with a way to block that shit, shame on them! I am glad I have my passport already. If the tRump passports become reality, I will vote for any progressive who vows to

#Linux It might be interesting if a website starts documenting how the different distros are going to handle "age verification" requirements, if that starts to become "a thing". Turns out "Ageless Linux" has done just that! A limited number of major distros, but it is a start. I'll be damned if I

#Linux What I don't understand is why people get all wound up about Windows 11 or Linux, but have not a lot of concern about the growing effort to require age verification for users of computers (protect the kiddies).

I think it is the normal that most people that used Windows spent lots of time learning to use it, and a lot more time spent if they wanted to use it properly and efficiently. But Linux you are going to walk right in and have everything just the way you want it. No need to spend time learning.

Nvidia has a reputation for not playing nicely with Linux. Searching for "best linux distros for nvidia graphics cards" comes up with a list of distros that are recommended. Sounds like a possible hardware (nvidia) distro issue?

There was a post about an hour ago on how to delete erased files from your machine. If one followed the instructions, they would have deleted program files and damage the OS, not what the poster claimed. I reported it and it disappeared. Don't simply type commands that someone posts. Verify first.

A WORD OF WARNING!! About an hour ago there was a posting to this feed about the location of the files that you have deleted, but still reside on your machine, and a supposed command to actually remove those files from your machine, before they time out and actualy disappear.

Anyone have knowledgable recommendations on full screen casting from either Manjaro XFCE or Silverblue Gnome desktop, or something similar, to a Roku TV? It is so easy doing it from Windows 11 that I don't need to do it from Linux.

I wonder if a "Photography of Pretty Ladies" might be an appropriate special interest category rather than Photography? While I find the pretty lady photos to be attractive, I am more interested in a wider variety of 'architectures' and 'scenic views'.

I was riding the bus home this afternoon. A lady grabs the seat behind me, apologizes and starts saying something. I was thinking 'oh boy, what is the pitch?' She asked if she could take a picture of a button on my hat - her boyfriend was a Linux user.

Curious, I looked at the Windows feed. I think I counted 40 entries and not a single mention of Linux. I look at the Linux feed and the 4th entry was about Windows, with no mention of Linux. And many more Windows only complaints in the following postings. Do Windows posters have Linux envy?
