A year and a half ago Singh called for a warroom to meet the threat Trumps electoral victory posed us. The PM (Trudeau), the LPC dependent on the NDP for power, the CPC, The CBC, the rest of the news media, and the general public ridiculed him and the NDP as a whole. Now people casually say were at

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Carney announced his plans to privatize Canada’s largest airports. So, I went to YVR to ask Canadians what they think (spoiler: they don’t share his enthusiasm). youtu.be/NTz8q0rKGdI

Privatization wasn’t on the ballot when Canadians voted for Mark Carney. Really foul the way he’s using the blind trust so many continue to have in him to make massive, fundamental changes to Canada (hurting normal Canadians) so big companies can profit. Please pay attention.

The most fervent supporters of the 'economic genius' PM dont seem to understand something as simple as investment isnt free money. Investors expect control and returns on projects. Giving up control weakens our soverignty and giving up taxes on these projects gives up economic benefits.

Congratulations to @mark-carney.bsky.social and his trade officials for realizing what everyone else knew a year ago, that his predecessor even learned before leaving office, you cannot appease a fascist, you cannot negotiate with a country that has always violated terms.

Concessions to get back to the table for negotiating concessions to get back to trade talks where we have to then give concessions to get a deal already biased against us that the US will conveniently ignore its responsibilities in is not negotiation, its appeasement, its capitulation.

Throughout this whole process English Canadian media has treated Churchill Falls as a side note because it involves NL and Quebec, and it still continues to do so. CBC: Churchill Falls is less important than… Australian beef prices. Radio-Canada: Churchill Falls is the top story.

When people look back on Carneys time as PM they will note it as more ruinious than his idols times combined (Chretein, Martin, Harper) and on par domestically with Margaret Thatchers time as Britians PM since hes just doing everything she did despite seeing the poverty in person while studying.

This week in Winnipeg and across the country, we are once again experiencing extreme heat and severe weather events that are posing increasing risks to community health and public safety. In Winnipeg, temperatures rose to 47 degrees with the humidex earlier this week.

WE ARE FACING THE EFFECTS OF THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY. We need a clean energy transition that upholds communities', workers' and Indigenous peoples' rights over the profit-driven interests of big corporations.

Carney could say "What Epstein did to those kids was absolutely worth it for the business connections it made" and liberals would still go "it means nothing for us to say it but it wins over trump" as if domestic and international public opinion mean nothing.

"5 years ago I ditched all social media excpet *insert current social media site* and to be fair this ones different. If I.D. Verification goes through I'll ditch *insert site* and tbh thats probably a healthy thing" responses to surveilance state legislation is terrifying. Regulate algorithms.

If you cheer for mass ID verification so you can ban kids from social media, you aren't cheering to protect kids, you're cheering that the general public (including kids) are being harmed so companies won't be regulated.

It's amazing how people will pretend the climate is something we can just ignore due to economic issues taking precedence. Floods and wildfires destroy factories. Heat waves slow workers down. Tropical storms shut down ports and shipping. If you don't give a shit about people, care about the economy

The PCs should've died as a party and ideology with Mulroney, the CPC with Harper, and the LPC should become so despised it's used as a derogatory comparison by people born after Carneys actions kill it in a way the other two couldn't do their parties.

If Carney was a CPC PM the liberals would be calling his actions tantamount to treason and blaming the NDP for not doing enough to stop him. But since he's wearing a red tie they defend Harper 2.0 to death and blame the NDP for not bowing down to the two faced privatizer.

With this statement Mark Carney has once again reiterated that our country will not stand against fascism. If we are gonna support a violation of international law using the same excuse as was used to invade Iraq why would we come to Mexicos aid or Greenlands. LPC and CPC both support fascism.
