Supergirl was good. Don’t get the complaints about it. Jackass was great. The retrospective nature of it is a feature, not a bug. Wife opted out of that one.

If you're unaware the CNN Center Sat right there in ATL with the CNN logo on the top of the building, and then a CNN logo right outside the lobby and now both are just...gone. Ted kind of fading out of the spotlight while he aged and dealt with health issues was also kind of strange for us.

I don't know where this will go, but I've started the piece.

"Atlanta, Georgia is mourning the passing of Ted Turner at the age of 87 on May 6, 2026. As a Metro ATL resident that grew up on "Turner Time," it was a surprisingly difficult thing to hear of his passing.

On Twitter, I used the following words to describe Ted: Maverick/Titan/Legend. His importance to ATL, the Southeast, and beyond really cannot be overstated.

There's the fun stuff you think of such as owning the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, and my beloved World Championship Wrestling (WCW), but his influence goes far beyond that.

That man revolutionized television with his 24-hour cable news network (CNN), and the SuperStation WTBS (Channel 17 out of Atlanta).

Ted was one of the people who helped take Atlanta from a toddling town to a true international city. He was someone that we embraced as our own. He was eccentric, charismatic, and honestly just...fun.

Once the Braves and Hawks were no longer under his ownership a common refrain was "I wish Ted would buy them back" because Ted was a riot, and you knew he wanted to win. I seem to recall that folks often suggested he buy the Falcons before Arthur Blank for the same reason.

See with Ted it wasn't just that he was wealthy, it was that he was a hoot and a half. He was a real American original that"

Here’s what I projected would happen. I thought it should either be ND/BAMA or ND/Miami and do not buy the logic that it could be BAMA/Miami but I also didn’t want this playoff or committee so basically “don’t blame me, I voted for the other guy.”
