Installed bazzite last night because lightdm decided to stop working completely randomly and I had been sitting on an installer USB anyhow, so no more arch. Anyways it went pretty smooth besides my browser font being this for a little while

to get more specific about this, you certainly can run into pathologically slow situations in Godot, and it's frustrating when it happens. But it is an approachable problem, thanks to the engine being open and profile-able, vs. what happens with lots of other software

a cool thing about this game especially looking at the evolution of "avoiders" and "treaters" is that you assume a similar form to the things that you have to avoid... i felt this pretty heavily with minnow (how harmonious/discordant i was vs. other fish) and here it's even stronger

for my latest game i wanted to target having 2-3 minutes of very dense gameplay, and then you could put the game down after that if you wanted. I achieved this but it's a weird feeling, since I enjoy the game a lot but i feel exhausted after a play session

okay I could not find anyone else doing this, but i got a linux x86 godot editor from arm macos, without using containers, since llvm supports cross-compilation! took like 2min to build instead of 35. i imagine similar things could be done for templates

have lost at this point hours trying to build a custom export template for Godot on Windows with MSVC... do not recommend! unfortunately it's not clear to me there is another way to get a useful PDB for your custom export template.
