it does get to me as an artist that there is clear and inherent value to art, enough that there is always someone wanting to profit off that value, but you as the artist truly are seen as expendable, and we see that all the time it is to the point where it is spun as somehow romantic when we starve

My daughter got this kids magnifier and it looks super useful for graphic designers? You can capture images of insanely close up textures and bring them into your computer. AND it has cat ears.

In my 15+ years of Internet video-making, I'd say the most consistent trend has been impressive human effort. Videos of expert artists/craftspeople/technicians always seem to be captivating. The format changes, but the story of expertise is universal and timeless.

If you can. Choose differently. (Not a possibility for everyone) - Use Linux instead of Windows/MacOS. - Stop using Alphabet/Google, Meta, Microsoft etc. platforms as much as you possibly can. - Build on OpenSource platforms. - Learn how to self-host instead of using cloud. Prepare yourself.

I’m sorry for repeating myself when I talk about the wolves but I do not want someone to see my posts and think getting a wolf as a pet is a good idea. Its a terrible idea.
