Okay okay, I'll actually post a bit about my trip to #Japan . My friends and I went to Universal Studios. We were wandering around and stumbled across this sign; none of us had heard of 'Space Fantasy', but a friend and I had both been Zedd fans as teens, so we […] [Original post on meow.social]

[AI bullshit] It then tries to sum up its arguments by conveying a 'General Perception' that PUP's fanbase is strong and appreciative, citing yet another rando commentor saying 'Love 'em. All killer players. Great pocket. Fun tunes.' That struck me as a really […] [Original post on meow.social]

[AI bullshit] Next, the AI criticises PUP's 'Band Dynamics and Future Direction', stating that fans feel their sound has 'evolved in a way that doesn't resonate with their earlier work'. The source is, again, a single random Reddit comment. It gets weird and […] [Original post on meow.social]

[AI bullshit] First, it accuses the frontwoman of PUP of being difficult to work with and releasing music without the consent of its featured artists. There are a few issues here. The post it cites is OBVIOUSLY talking about the frontwoman of Ekko Astral, not […] [Original post on meow.social]

Article: 'Ekko Astral Allegations: A former bassist of the band Ekko Astral alleged that PUP's frontwoman was difficult to work with and that an EP was released without her consent. This led to a local stir in the DC music scene.'

[AI bullshit] I was recently scrolling the subreddit of the punk band PUP, and accidentally clicked on some AI-generated thing from Reddit themselves called 'PUP Band Controversies and Allegations' and it's a DOOZY (apologies for the screenshot sizes, my phone is very small)

Feral tree creature! I got this amazing art from @ a_little_devill on the birdsite!

An anthro arctic fox with swirly blue markings (Soren) lays back on a tree branch, throwing peace signs while looking at the viewer.

The Wikipedia page for 'Citogenesis Incidents' is absolute gold

Wikipedia text: In 2007, an editor added that "A group of rabbits or hares are often called a 'fluffle' in parts of Northern Canada" to Rabbit. This statement was removed in 2010, but found its way back to the article in 2015 with a source dated 2011. The expression "a fluffle of rabbits/bunnies" can be found in books published since the 2010s. Linguist Ben Zimmer traced its origin to the 2007 edit in 2023.

WOW no OKAY, it turns out lrf2lrs is hardcoded to use PascalCase for tags, but lrs2lrf is hardcoded to use lowercase. Kovid Goyal is a sadistic motherfucker.

Python code showing a bunch of strings getting added to 'bookinfo', all of which are HTML tags in Pascal Case.

I wonder if lrf-lrs conversion was different back then, or if lrf ebooks actually store case for their tag data and all lrf books back then used lowercase?? Or maybe this janky crap never worked right, who knows

Code block showing BeautifulSoup .find() functions called with lowercase tags as arguments.
