Took Skye with me to support my wife fell running. It was based in Haworth, which is a beautiful village in West Yorkshire While she was out running we took a stroll to the Bronte Sisters house. Skye was wiped out by the end of it! 😴

Went to watch the new Resident Evil film last night. Honestly, probably the best one yet. I question some of the monster design a little... but it felt very original. It's both horrifying and comedic, capturing that "Jill sandwich" hammy delivery that breaks up the horror and keeps it fresh. 8/10

Sorry pupper. You may not have the Lotus Biscoff croissant. She was given some gravy bones so she didn't feel left out

Finally got around to getting my Landerwaffe on FFXIV. It's giving me Geno Saurer vibes from ZOIDS for some reason 😂

I really do wonder sometimes if the games industry realises that running down the never ending road of ideals like "better graphics" is undermining their sales numbers because people are starting to struggle to keep up with the associated costs 🤔

Sox, asking for dinner in about the most adorable way he has ever done. He's a precious old man now 😍

The licker scene in Resident Evil 2 1998. I was probably too young to be playing at the time, but that put the willies up me something rotten! Still one of my favourite games to this day!

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

Stopped by Ilkley for a spot of Lunch on the way back from camping. Had a pretty good sarny and crisps 🤤 Skye has had a wonderful time. She's passed out cold in one of her favourite spots! I think al be joining her later

The Yorkshire Dales are a beautiful place. Well worth the visit especially if you love a good hike. Smashed out 12km today. Just waiting out some rain to cook dinner

030

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Sat with the sheep in the Yorkshire Dales. Might be pint of the year this! Bless the Craven Arms for some quality steak and ale pie as well. 🤤

All packed up and on the road heading to camp. Skye's excited, I am less excited about the weather though. Something tells me I am in for getting wet while I raise the tent 😅

000

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

She doesn't look particularly motivated to go camping...

070

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

It's been a sad affair, looking through all the food I love and realizing I won't be able to eat it for a while at least. Type 2 so it's all diet based once I get it under control. Just a big wake up call for me at the minute 🥲

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Honestly, I quite enjoyed it! it felt so unique from all the other anything else I had seen before that I sunk into it for at least 2 seasons

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I watched the first 2 seasons of The Expanse, but I have heard there is quite a bit missing from the books so I really wanted to get into it! It's been recommended by plenty of people as well so I am quite excited

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

It's the wife's birthday tomorrow. She booked us for 2 nights camping near Bolton Abbey. Been wanting to get back into reading so I picked up a book. As a backup I have the Switch loaded with FF9 and Bravely Default 2 🤣

M&S are doing 3 chicken leg portions for £1.50. It would be rude not to... Pressure cooked them in an Instant Pot with lemongrass and ginger. Got 2 lunches and half a litre of fresh chicken stock. Mixed the meat with chilli and vinegar. Absolutely delicious.

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Made some diabetic jam. Its Raspberry and Blackberry with Chia seeds, sweetened with erithryol. Then smashed out a salmon dinner 🍴🤤🍴

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Heat wave on the way tomorrow. Remember to take care of your furry friends. I like to walk Skye at midnight at times like these. It's a lot cooler and there are different experiences to enrich her!

020

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Honestly, I know diabetics but never thought I would be one of them. I let my health go in university, and have struggled with my weight ever since. If I can lose 10-15% of my body weight and eat better, I might enter remission. Time to check out more healthy swaps and get back in the gym! 👊

It's been interesting looking at other people's lists, sometimes I think it's heavily to do with what order people played them in! Zodiac Age is on my backlog, it's installed on Steam I just need to get around to it. That might change my mind 🤔

110

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

That's fair, I don't think any of us managed to agree on anything hah!

Was finishing up on stream a little early so I decided to do a #FinalFantasy tierlist. I would love to see other peoples as well. We spent an entire hour arguing about what went where 🤣

Hope you enjoy it! Just Because is a great romance anime. I feel like it gets overlooked a lot comapred to some more popular ones

Been thinking about swapping up my streaming to Youtube recently. Stories like this make me think otherwise... If folks could have a watch, maybe leave it a like and share it, ad like to hope that helps in someway? youtu.be/BFTIJe9ZmfE?...

My pets have been extra this week. I had to catch Sox trying to climb out of a closed window. That was interesting. The old boy was just hanging from the edge like he was about to fall to his doom.

Skye is here to share the fan. British heatwaves suck!

I love Final Fantasy IX, it's my favourite JRPG of all time I think. It's worth taking a look at Moguri Mod on the PC if you have the Steam port. Does a great job upscaling it for modern screens!

Expedition 33 is a great game! I really enjoyed the story, the concept felt new and refreshing and it had that nice balance between a bit of comedy and more serious content. I highly recommend it

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Thanks for the recommendations! Been through the lot of em for the most part. I do still need to finish Sea of Stars though so I might pick that back up. Been plodding along at Bravely Default 2 for the time being, it's just not really gripping me for some reason

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

I am really into my classic RPG's usually or survival horror. Some of the offerings have been a bit lackluster recently.

100

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

I think my biggest problem at the minute is that I am just struggling to find a game I can really sink into and enjoy. The fact that gaming seems to revolve around money certainly doesn't help though!

110

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Streaming has been a struggle recently. I have just had trouble feeling passionate about games recently! It was my 35th birthday yesterday. Took Skye for a hike, then went to an escape room. Today I went to a top sarny shop in York and spent some time with my pal wandering around the city!

110

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

I might stream Sunday... Swampy week in the UK. Might start working remotely from the shade in my garden!

Time to stream... Child: Can you help me apply for jobs? Me: Sure! Also me: Do you have a CV/Resume? Child: No. Me: ... 😭alright, bring a chair this isn't gunna be a 10 minute job

Been playing some Bravely Default 2 recently, and I can't help but feel like Black Mage gets absolutely stiffed on the cute outfits. When you have characters like Vivi and Lulu for inspiration, but instead you look like a cross between organisation 13 and a nun? 😭

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Since we can now have up to 10 images... I can now scale up my efforts to spread Skyes pics around the world. She's been busy! Made a PB at the Park Run with the wife, had a quality bath with me and has spent LOTS of time cuddling us and being asleep. Life is meant to be shared. Get a dog!
