Trying to get back into streaming this week ahead of my favourite month... Spooktober. Kicking things off with The Sinking City Remastered. Technically, I can call this a viewer request 🤔 We will be crowd sourcing some ideas for the coming month! www.twitch.tv/soraplays_tv

Took Skye with me to support my wife fell running. It was based in Haworth, which is a beautiful village in West Yorkshire While she was out running we took a stroll to the Bronte Sisters house. Skye was wiped out by the end of it! 😴

Went to watch the new Resident Evil film last night. Honestly, probably the best one yet. I question some of the monster design a little... but it felt very original. It's both horrifying and comedic, capturing that "Jill sandwich" hammy delivery that breaks up the horror and keeps it fresh. 8/10

Sorry pupper. You may not have the Lotus Biscoff croissant. She was given some gravy bones so she didn't feel left out

Tried to help him out, got a smack for my efforts. He then got comfier. Guess it's his washing basket now?

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Lost the cat. Went looking for him. A yes. Left the washing basket open...

Spent the evening on a date with the Wife. Evanescence was amazing, can definitely say that it was well worth the trip 😍

Today I learned that Steam will let you set custom amounts for Gift Cards. You just have to use a bit of Javascipt in the browser lol

Finally got around to getting my Landerwaffe on FFXIV. It's giving me Geno Saurer vibes from ZOIDS for some reason 😂

I really do wonder sometimes if the games industry realises that running down the never ending road of ideals like "better graphics" is undermining their sales numbers because people are starting to struggle to keep up with the associated costs 🤔

I am about 5 minutes into Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and the eyes are kinda creeping me out!

Sox, asking for dinner in about the most adorable way he has ever done. He's a precious old man now 😍

Stopped by Ilkley for a spot of Lunch on the way back from camping. Had a pretty good sarny and crisps 🤤 Skye has had a wonderful time. She's passed out cold in one of her favourite spots! I think al be joining her later

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

The Yorkshire Dales are a beautiful place. Well worth the visit especially if you love a good hike. Smashed out 12km today. Just waiting out some rain to cook dinner

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Sat with the sheep in the Yorkshire Dales. Might be pint of the year this! Bless the Craven Arms for some quality steak and ale pie as well. 🤤

All packed up and on the road heading to camp. Skye's excited, I am less excited about the weather though. Something tells me I am in for getting wet while I raise the tent 😅

000

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

She doesn't look particularly motivated to go camping...

070

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

It's the wife's birthday tomorrow. She booked us for 2 nights camping near Bolton Abbey. Been wanting to get back into reading so I picked up a book. As a backup I have the Switch loaded with FF9 and Bravely Default 2 🤣

M&S are doing 3 chicken leg portions for £1.50. It would be rude not to... Pressure cooked them in an Instant Pot with lemongrass and ginger. Got 2 lunches and half a litre of fresh chicken stock. Mixed the meat with chilli and vinegar. Absolutely delicious.

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Made some diabetic jam. Its Raspberry and Blackberry with Chia seeds, sweetened with erithryol. Then smashed out a salmon dinner 🍴🤤🍴

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Heat wave on the way tomorrow. Remember to take care of your furry friends. I like to walk Skye at midnight at times like these. It's a lot cooler and there are different experiences to enrich her!

020

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Honestly, I know diabetics but never thought I would be one of them. I let my health go in university, and have struggled with my weight ever since. If I can lose 10-15% of my body weight and eat better, I might enter remission. Time to check out more healthy swaps and get back in the gym! 👊

Was finishing up on stream a little early so I decided to do a #FinalFantasy tierlist. I would love to see other peoples as well. We spent an entire hour arguing about what went where 🤣

Been thinking about swapping up my streaming to Youtube recently. Stories like this make me think otherwise... If folks could have a watch, maybe leave it a like and share it, ad like to hope that helps in someway? youtu.be/BFTIJe9ZmfE?...

My pets have been extra this week. I had to catch Sox trying to climb out of a closed window. That was interesting. The old boy was just hanging from the edge like he was about to fall to his doom.

030

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

Skye is here to share the fan. British heatwaves suck!

I have all the pet cuddles today!

Streaming has been a struggle recently. I have just had trouble feeling passionate about games recently! It was my 35th birthday yesterday. Took Skye for a hike, then went to an escape room. Today I went to a top sarny shop in York and spent some time with my pal wandering around the city!

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

I might stream Sunday... Swampy week in the UK. Might start working remotely from the shade in my garden!

Been playing some Bravely Default 2 recently, and I can't help but feel like Black Mage gets absolutely stiffed on the cute outfits. When you have characters like Vivi and Lulu for inspiration, but instead you look like a cross between organisation 13 and a nun? 😭

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Since we can now have up to 10 images... I can now scale up my efforts to spread Skyes pics around the world. She's been busy! Made a PB at the Park Run with the wife, had a quality bath with me and has spent LOTS of time cuddling us and being asleep. Life is meant to be shared. Get a dog!

030

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

One successful dog groom at home. Skyes coat is shedding, so it was extra messy. But after waiting for the waste to dry, it goes up ready for birds in my garden. Quality nest building material that!

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 02/06/2026

This week over on www.twitch.tv/soraplays_tv we have Bravely Default 2 and our last reclear of M12s on FFXIV for a little while! I have been really enjoying Bravely Default 2 so far, the job outfits are bloody adorable!

Are there any better leftovers than leftover Lasagne?

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

When I sorted my garden after we purchase our house, there was this one tree tucked away smothered by hawthorn trees and ivy that was everywhere. I gutted everything else. I believe it's a japanese maple... It's recently started seeding! Skye loves it too.

020

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

Happy Caturday folks! Sox went for a checkup yesterday. The old boy's been sneezing snot rockets all over the place. He's on a round of steroids for a week to hopefully clear that up. He's gunna need reimaging soon to check on his lymph nodes and liver cysts, otherwise he's doing quite well!

040

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

This week on www.twitch.tv/soraplays_tv it's all about finishing off our reclears in FFXIV and then getting deep into Bravely Default 2!

010

Sora @soraplays.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

I feel the same Sox. Been working my ass off for like a month. Barely had time to stream and all I want to do is sleep 😴

Finally getting back into streaming! Took a long time off to support my wife and step-son through some difficult times. Back at it with Bravely Default 2! www.twitch.tv/soraplays_tv

This might be my most heart breaking moment in Slay The Spire 2 so far...

000

Been ill for a few weeks with a chest infection so been AWOL. Had a Lamb dinner yesterday for Easter. Followed it up with leftover lamb pizzas on naan bread with leftover gravy for a french dip. Properly fat boy meal. Definitely a once a year jobby 🤣

Finally finished all the challenges on Resident Evil: Requiem! Fun game that. Got a huge amount of enjoyment out of earning 100% completion \o/

Met John Romero. Can chalk that off my bucket list. Honestly cool guy, super nice. Not often you get to meet one of your heroes!

Finished all the achievements in Resident Evil: Requiem. Brilliant game, some interesting challenges. No Blood, no Heals and Insanity mode are all good fun. Can highly recommend! If you haven't yet, check out some speedrunners. Some of the tech coming out for this game looks fantastic!
