I'm really saddened by the news about tapas. Tapastic was the very first art platform I ever joined and it impacted me a lot as the person I am today. It used to be such a kind and supportive environment. I worry for all the old works there that could very easily become lost media..

I know getting your own domain and building a website is intimidating but I really think it's worth it to keep creative control of your art in your own hands. I'm likely going to make mine through comicfury, but there are a lot of options out there. I dunno anything about html but I guess I'll learn

Cannot stress enough: do not go to webtoon. Tapas became more unprofitable in the first place because of webtoon's aggressive marketing tactics, but it comes at a huge price. They severely underpay their artists and limit the creative freedom of their canvas/original works.

Since tapas is dying a terrible death please do me and every other comic artist a favor and follow any webcomics, manga, manwha, etc. you enjoy On their OWN INDIVIDUAL WEBSITE when possible. I will be creating a website for my own work soon. We have to escape these predatory explotative platforms.

I don't believe they went through with it, but the mere fact they genuinely wanted to make a deal with a genai company, on top of their terrible monetization and advertising practices (they're screwing over their own artists) have made me legitimately resent them as a company. Use other platforms.

I made a sapphic-achillean pride flag bc I wanted one. (More info below)

A pride flag. In order, the top three stripes are pink-white-pink to represent the sapphic flag, the middle three are magenta-purple-blue for the bi flag, and the bottom three are a light blue-white-blue for the achillean flag.
