Yesterday we released #SonicDE version 6.7.3, which is compatible with the same #KDE Plasma version 6.7.3. The resulting binary packages have been tested on the newest branch of #ManjaroLinux and #ArtixLinux. Please see sonicde.org for other distributions.

#SonicDE third-party packages are now available for #EnterpriseLinux 10-based distributions. They've already been tested on #AlmaLinux and #RHEL and will be on Oracle Linux and Rocky Linux too. 1 year + 1 day ago, guiodic made his first commit to “kwin-x11-improved” for a better #Plasma experience on X11. With that, he laid the foundation for #SonicDE that is now to become a full fork of #KDE. A big thank you to guiodic and a stay tuned to you all for more good news!

Yesterday we released #SonicDE version 6.7.2, which is compatible with the same #KDE Plasma version, 6.7.2, as usual. In addition to the KDE features, it includes a bugfix for the Sonic Login Manager so that it can better remember its settings.

We today released #SonicDE version 6.7.0, aligning it with #KDE Plasma 6.7.0. You can find x86_64 binary packages for #ArchLinux at sonicde-arch.github.io and for #ArtixLinux at sonicde-artix.github.io. Other package maintainers will very likely follow suit in the next few days.

We consolidated the #SonicDE for #ArchLinux packages and created a standalone repository at sonicde-arch.github.io. There, we provide binary packages for x86_64 and maintain the PKGBUILDs for the #AUR. Please update any existing custom SonicDE entries in your pacman.conf.

The maintainers of #Vendefoul Wolf Linux added #SonicDE 6.3.5 packages to their stable release based on #Devuan 6 Excalibur. Rumor already has it, and it's true. We’re currently working on removing #Wayland support from #SonicDE and the underlying forked libraries. This will pave the way for us to focus on preserving and improving our #X11 version of #KDE #Plasma 6.

#SonicDE was introduced today as a spin of the new #Vendefoul Wolf #Linux series #Viriato. Viriato is based on #Devuan 7 Freia with kernel 6.18. You can download the testing ISO at vendefoul-wolf-linux.sourceforge.io, scrolling through to "VENDEFOUL SONICDE - DEVUAN 7."

#SonicDE is being demoed on a #Steam Deck by the @openmandriva.org.web.brid.gy devs at #FOSDEM. They launched, quote, "the most expensive marketing program in history" :-D;-) and we're happy to be part of it.
