Apparently some stuff is going around where people are saying all authors use AI and we’re all just lying. HUH?? 😭 who comes up with this shit 😂 If ALL authors use AI then we’ve got some graves to dig up and a lot of questions for writers who published before AI was a thing 😂 Use your brains! 😂

Couldn’t be me… It absolutely could be me :’) How do this many typos manage to slip through so many different editors and beta readers 😂 sneaky #booksky #bookmemes #indieauthor

Text reads “when you go back to read your published book just for fun and are enjoying it” next to a person looking happy

Text readers: “you find the most horrendous typo that turns an entire sentence into gibberish” next to a person looking sad

One thing I noticed time and time again with a lot of books is that characters go through some really rough things in their stories, but feel no effects afterwards. Wouldn’t your characters struggle after seeing the stuff they see? 📚💙 #booktok #booksky #indieauthor

'Surprise Me!' commission for @somethingwylde.bsky.social, who asked me to draw my favourite scene from their series The Lion's Apprentice - I picked the approach to the ruined city of Naelack! I'm always weak for a sunset scene 🌇 Comms available here: vgen.co/rbillustration 🎨 #bexarttag #VGenComm

Artwork of a male character, Fiaran, riding a horse and looking back toward the viewer with an expression of curiosity. He has dark skin, locs tied back into a ponytail, a cropped green vest top, shorts, wings and a long tail. In the background, the sun sets over a scene of mountains and an ancient temple.

📚 BOOK COVER ARTISTS 📚 QRP with your covers! The first two are for the Lion's Apprentice series by @somethingwylde.bsky.social and the third is for @ddalglish.com's The Legacy of the Watcher. I ADORE working on book covers and I'd love to do more!

Cover art for The Lion's Apprentice by Rebecca Wylde. A large red dragon looms over a mountaintop in front of a sunset sky. Two winged figures wielding weapons stand in the foreground with tense expressions.

Cover art for The Legacy of the Watcher by David Dalglish. The artwork shows a young woman lying upside down against a fountain with a broken statue of an angel at the top. She is balancing a dagger on one finger and has a long grey cloak that turns to red as it leaves the water of the fountain to lead away off the edge of the cover. The dead body of a man lies in the water, only his leg and arm visible.

Just finished my first round of edits on book 3. Had to rewrite the final chapter as I deleted some stuff and needed to change it completely. Teared up as I wrote the last paragraph. The final line has been the same in every version of this book, so writing those 6 words again breaks me a little
