I can’t reply, so… Favourite composer is always a tough choice, because there are so many good options! I am very partial to Beethoven, Milhaud and Rimsky- Korsakov, because I like to hear interesting rhythms (sorry Mozart and Bach, you do choose great notes, but your rhythms aren’t on that level)

My all time least favourite word is “arguably”. Partly because nearly every time that it’s used, “possibly” would have been a better a choice, But mostly because it’s so frequently used as “arguably one of the” in cases where it didn’t need to be used at all!

I mentioned how much I enjoy women’s skateboarding. Here’s a clip that appeared a few days ago. Mia Kretzer’s first documented fakie (reverse) 900. She is the first woman to do it, and the first person to do it on a regular sized halfpipe (Bob Burnquist did it on a mega ramp).

I just found out about #BlueSkyArtShow, and I’m overjoyed that photos are allowed. This is a limestone cliff face at the south end of Pearl Beach, New South Wales, Australia.

Going home from hearing the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, they played Ives’s The Unanswered Question, Westlake’s Percussion Concerto with solist Rebecca Lagos and Holst’s The Planets (with an accompanying film titled Loss, starring Emma Thompson. Yes, the Emma Thompson!). Fabulous all round!
