Look there's a LOT wrong with sci-fi and fantasy books from the 80s and early 90s but those authors would find the thirstiest, most shameless sicko imaginable and pay him $5000 to draw the horniest, most extravagant cover art you've ever seen in your life and we need to go back to those days

treating the boy RIGHT

A digital illustration of Orym, Dorian & Ashton from Critical Role. They are in a dark room with teal/green lighting, all sitting on a bed. Ashton is seated with their legs over the side of the bed and Dorian is sideways in their lap, on arm around their shoulders, with Ashton's hand ambiguously between his legs. Dorian is leaning back against Orym, who is sitting up on his knees with his face turned into Dorian's neck and one arm around Dorian's chest. All of them are naked except for Dorian, who is in a white lacy bodysuit with transparent panels on the side, strings of pearls hanging from the shoulders, and a bow in the middle of his chest, which Orym is undoing. Dorian's hair is loose and gently floating, and his head is tipped back, his eyes closed and mouth open in an expression of pleasure. Ashton is turned to watch him intently, and his lava rock arm behind Dorian backlights the middle of the image.

A scene that charges ME rent in my own brain (from @mllekurtz.bsky.social ‘s ‘birds of prey’ scourger AU series, link in replies) [ #Criticalrole #Criticalrolefanart #shadowgast #fanfic]

A short comic of Critical role characters Bren Ermendrud and Essek Thelyss standing on a balcony outside of a gala. Bren takes Essek’s wine glass, turns the rim, and drinks from where Essek’s lipstick print is while the drow bluescreens.

I still love these chuckleheads. #criticalrole #dnd #wizard #drow #caleb #essek #art

Two wizards look at each other with a little wonder in their eyes. One a human with red hair the other a drow. A cat resides with the human looking clueless but adorable.

a bunch of studies from c3ep111! so many good bits in that episode, hope to sketch more soon #art #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanart #CriticalRoleSpoilers

fanart of various characters from Critical Role, consisting of a number of studies of roleplay from campaign 3 episode 111. they're done in a semi-realistic style, focused on facial expressions and body language.

1. Jester is gasping in an exaggerated manner, her eyes wide and mouth hanging open.

2. Caleb is turning Ashton around with his hands on their shoulders so that he can see the glass portion of their skull better. He is saying "Oh, that is fascinating" with a focused and curious expression on his face.

3. Yasha is gesturing awkwardly with her hands and saying "How fun!" with a small smile on her face.

4. Laudna is showing off a ring on her finger, extending her right arm forward and propping it up with her left hand. She is smiling wide and saying "Imogen got me this ring!", the 'I' in 'ring' repeated several times to signify the sing-song quality to her voice.

5. Dorian is striking a pose with one hand on his hip, grinning winsomely and showing off the magnificent abs under his translucent shirt.

6. a Dorian head shot; he looks a bit lost and wide-eyed, his mouth pressed into a thin line. off-camera Caduceus asks, "mr Dorian, who's the most level-headed of your group of people?", to which Dorian replies, "uh, none".

7. a Beauregard head shot; she looks unimpressed and says, "I don't know you very well, and I hate new people."

an old #shadowgast comic i did during the eiselcross arc! [ #criticalrolefanart | #fanart | #art ]

A comic that shows Essek watching Caleb and Jester in the distance. Jester is proselytizing to Caleb's cat, and Caleb is listening. By his expressions, it is clear that Essek is fond of both of them, but has feelings for Caleb. Caleb sends a loving look at Jester, who doesn't seem to notice. The last panel is Essek's bittersweet smile as he assumes his own feelings are unrequited.

another oldie but goodie. dark scourger AUs i will always love you #art #shadowgast #criticalrolefanart

An illustration of Caleb and Essek in a dark AU where Caleb stayed a scourger. He sits in a white-and-gold chair, covered in blood. Perched in his lap is Essek, who stares with a smug, sharp smile at the viewer. His arm is casually-yet-possessively draped over Caleb's shoulders. On the floor are blood smears and a single arm belonging to Trent Ikithon. It seems that Caleb has just murdered Trent, and both he and Essek are celebrating the moment.

shadowgast kiss meme: hair/head kiss ✨ the key to Essek's peaceful nighttime reading is tiring his young man out with wizardly activities enough for said man to fall asleep in the middle of some cuddly kisses : ) #shadowgast

a digital drawing of Essek and Caleb from Critical Role, done in shades of mint and dark reddish brown. Essek is a drow with short curly hair and small pointed ears, wearing a light sleeveless sleeping shirt with a low neckline. Caleb is a human with long wavy hair, a beard and freckles; there are regularly spaced scars on his forearms, and he is shirtless. both of them are lying in bed on their sides under a blanket that covers their legs. Essek is reading a book, which is resting against the arm closest to the bed, with a slight smug smile on his face, while Caleb is sleeping, tucked against Essek's back. one of his hands is resting on Essek's side and his peacefully slack face is buried in Essek's hair. curled against Essek's stomach is a sleeping tabby cat.

commission for @eldritchmochi, an illustration of a very steamy scene from his fic 'coping skills'! 😏 (link in replies!) this picture was a very fun challenge for me from the point of view of posing, and y'all know me. always happy to draw ropes 💜 thank you for commissioning me! #shadowgast

a digital lineart piece featuring Caleb and Essek from critical role. Essek is naked save for plain boxer-briefs, lying on his back with each of his forearms tied to the respective upper arm, with the elbows pointing up and the palms resting right next to his head on the pillow. he is blindfolded with a satiny sleeping mask, and is pressing his face into one of his raised arms. his legs are also tied, with his walking cane used as an improvised spreader bar, tucked in the fold between the calves and the back of his thighs. Caleb, dressed in a simple t-shirt that is slightly too big for him, is sitting on his haunches between Essek's spread thighs. he is pushing Essek's legs down closer to his stomach with his left hand on the back of Essek's thigh, while in his right hand he is holding a lit pillar candle, dripping melted wax onto Essek's chest with an expression of awe and reverence on his face.

happy valentine's day, friends! 💜 #shadowgast

digital fanart of Essek and Caleb from Critical Role. Essek is a drow with light purple skin and short white hair, dressed in an ensemble of a dark form-fitting shirt and trousers with silver embroidery; his torso is wrapped in a hishi karada, plain ropes tied in a repeated diamond pattern over his clothes. Caleb is a light-skinned human with chin-length red hair and a beard, wearing a simple white shirt, underarm holsters and dark pants.
they are lounging on a settee, looking at each other. Essek is sitting with his legs crossed, holding a glass of wine in his right hand; Caleb is leaning in to Essek, his left hand resting low on Essek's stomach, with the thumb sliding underneath and slightly tugging on the ropes leading down between Essek's legs.
