The difference between velocipesto and regular pesto is whether you watch a B-movie about a were-dinosaur afterwards. This is just regular pesto, the last fruits of our garden. (The mint-only pesto turned out very tasty!)

The opening scene of Back to the Future, seen at a friend's house. My mom picked me up before the end of the movie so I always thought Doc just...got killed. Bonus: same thing happened with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Those kids weren't great but they didn't deserve that!

Me neither until recently! I didn't read it when it came out—instead I stumbled on a great collection of essays in @freakytrigger.co.uk that about the comic in some smart ways and was a great intro. (I'd actually recommend starting with the conclusion and then looping around to the beginning.)

Oh yeah, Sims went down a very strange and personal religious path that ended with these weird obsessive takes on Judaism. A lot of the last issues of Cerebus are just seemingly endless takes on the Torah. Like, it goes from these amazing early panels to these horrible late ones :/
