In the same way that I might hold for an update on a phone brand I like, it's important to me, that I treat devices I don't like the same way. But before I really dig into the Pixel 11 Pro, we still gotta rant about the state of tech reviews for a minute... or eight... youtu.be/VH6TI6Hg1ns

Considering what kind of DAC might be built into a cable like that, I can't imagine the signal processing would be any better than getting an Apple USBC dongle. You could spend a little more and get a beefier solution with a more powerful amp.

Juan Carlos Bagnell @somegadgetguy.com · 20/09/2026

Oh man. Never looked for one like that. I haven't been a huge fan of the mic cable solutions for single XLR. I think it would probably be better to choose a dongle dac you really like, and just keep it with the standard mini-XLR cables.

What the rich learned from the 2008 housing crisis, was they could lean on the middle class and small businesses, and when in a crisis, those businesses and individuals fold, they can scoop up the remnants for pennies on the dollar. Guess what we're in store for again? youtu.be/u8iqKpVSRJg?...
