Complaints about the ST “no plan“ don’t realise how bold its development actually was. Lucasfilm chose to embrace the filmmaking process, empowering the creatives to build a trilogy of films that remained connected, yet were their own individual visions. I don’t really follow “newer” SW figures anyways because none of them appeal to me, aside from niche ones or if it’s from a movie or series that’s usually “less appreciated.” It’s more appealing to check local collectible shops for older ST figures - new or busted, those resonate much more with me.

I think I’m still in a “Liminal” state with Star Wars at the moment after stress boiled over after last weekend. The future doesn’t feel like doom, nor does it feel like hope. But I’m still here in the present, reveling in the past of what I loved but also still trying to make it work for myself.

The 2nd part is *why* I’ve remained weary of general Star Wars fans or other figures, regardless of platform (but YouTube especially). A lot of times, they only want to brag superiority and knock down people who do like or defend other Star Wars. Mando, ST, etc…anything not the OT is ripe for hate.

This is why I’ve had to distance myself entirely from the Star Wars fandom on YouTube as a sequel fan because virtually everyone there is hostile. Doubly so when even non-SW YouTubers throw sequel hate or insult sequel fans randomly (penguinz0 for instance, but I’m certain there’s many other cases).

I’ve always said this for #StarWars ever since 2019, and will continue to say this: Rey Skywalker was a compelling, well written, down to earth, and fantastic character in Star Wars that deserved so much more recognition than the fanbase gave her ever since then, or even way back, ever since 2015.
