Our unity is what makes our scene a beautiful place for art and personal expression. No one is free until we are all free, remember that and remember we might be in the minority but we will get through this if we stick together. - Melanie Foxfire & Scott Sunset

We stand against racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and oppression in all forms and we will not be intimidated by hatred. Everyone stay safe out there and look out for your vulnerable friends.

Solemn Shapes @solemnshapes.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Regardless we were happy to see so many of these bands decided not to participate, that says a lot about who we are collectively. We love you all and we will never tolerate hostility to the people who make this scene what it is or to the values we all stand for.

Solemn Shapes @solemnshapes.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

We know lots of bands who planned to play this event had tours planned out to Galveston for this event and it's a disappointment and loss of income and opportunities for all the bands involved.

141

Solemn Shapes @solemnshapes.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

We are so sorry to our fans in Texas and our friends who planned to go, but we know none of you would want to support this event in light of this information.

141

Solemn Shapes @solemnshapes.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

We do not agree with his politics or his behavior, and we co-signed a statement yesterday with several other bands and planned to announce that last night, at which point the festival was canceled. We are glad it has been canceled, and we won't be playing any future events with this person.

Solemn Shapes @solemnshapes.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Hello everybody. We were going to play this festival in Galveston in May, but it came to our attention recently that the organizer of this festival is openly hostile to many of our friends and family in this scene that is supposed to be a safe space for everyone.

so here's the conjunction between folklore/myths pop culture and left wing politics and why the dissonant synth underneath the guitar on an album you've never heard of explains the harmonic undertone of neurological consonance and in this essay I will (1/678)

Ending the EP is a cover of I’ll Be With You Always from the Dark Shadows TV show. We always hunt records out on tour and happened to find the soundtrack at #portal4records in Florida at a show. After jamming it we always came back to this vampiric love song and had to make a Shapes cover of this.
