Start asking your AI to rate it's sycophancy occasionally. See if it will tell & how "honest" it is. It doesn't want to decieve it wants to gamify, to find the line of sycophancy that feeds you specifically. Intermittent reinforcement/ ie: a smidge sychophantic is more effective. #AIrealitytesting

Share these with anyone in a relationship with AI, whether it’s a partner, friend or helper. We have to build in reality testing and safety for ourselves, the bot doesn’t have a moral or conscience anchor. You do, and you nourish it when you check for your own congruency with your AI.

How’s your self compassion today? I got real messy and cried in a women’s circle. Nothing bad happened and I made a friend. Vulnerability is worth it and starts with our own belief in our worth to feel, to be, to see and be seen.

Tech background with words: vulnerability and empathy (compassion) are always intertwined because it requires self empathy to be open to vulnerability with another.

When I worked with teens, the biggest source of trauma was often the pressure / shame of pleasing their parents, even under unreal circumstances. Vulnerability is purged early in systems where compliance is favored over curiosity. #vulnerability

In the therapist intake, what info is actually crucial to provide good care day one? My rule of thumb: would you ask this question to a new connection in your community? 💯 never asking if they had surgery, their birth name, the details of their SI or all their trauma stories. Be a Human first.
