Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 23/09/2026A short story from the Forsaken Archive I woke up with the comforting weight of my dog Rosko on the end of my bed. It took me a minute to remember that Rosko died last month. #ForsakenArchive 000
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Been way too long since I posted any clouds. #clouds #photography 090
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 16/07/2026If you cling to closely to the past, you cannot grow into the person you would become. If you let go of to much of you past, you loose who you are. 010

Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 07/03/2026Golden giving me the side eye after I accidentally woke him up. I will probably never be able to sneak up on this cat as he is a recovering feral and sleeps VERY lightly. #Caturday #cat #orangecat #photography 060
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 19/02/2026Some clouds and a pic of kind of spooky train tracks on a foggy day. #bluesky #clouds #photography 050
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 04/02/2026Golden thought about going outside today. This was the result. NOPE! #orangecat #cat #snow #photography 080

Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 10/12/2025Time for my annual "A Long December" post. And it seems like it's going to be longer then ever before. #CountingCrows youtu.be/1D5PtyrewSs?...youtu.beCounting Crows - A Long December (Official Video)YouTube video by CountingCrowsVEVO 000

Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 30/10/2025@joefielder.bsky.social Just over in the next room when they decided to hire you for BioShock Infinite? 😄 (Still waiting for the BSI novel. Come on, 2K let it out!) www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/wh...pcgamer.comWhen Irrational picked a new writer for BioShock Infinite, it didn't realise he was in the next room, already working at the studioSerendipity. 120

Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 12/08/2025Learned something new about my cat Golden today. He is scared of geese flying overhead. I was sitting with him outside and I heard geese honking. Golder immediately headed for cover under some bushes. A little later some more flew over and he crawled under my shed to protect himself. 🙀 #Orangecat 070
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 14/06/2025Golden finally found a spot outside where he feels safe and can hide. Unfortunately, it's in someone else's yard. 🤦♂️ #caterday #organgecat 030
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 20/04/2025Reason #1140523 why I have little hope in humanity. Walking to my mother's house a few blocks away, minding my own business. A 10-12 year old comes across the street swearing, insulting me and calling me a thief. Why was I a thief? Because he had seen me carrying a chair earlier in the day. WTF? 010
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 10/04/2025Picture I took a long time ago. Probably the last I will post for awhile. 150
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 29/03/2025That was a couple years ago. Golden become a house cat only going out a little while each day and sleeping on my family member much of the other time, probably getting much to used to having someone else there 24/7. When they passed, I took him in. #orangecat 050
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 23/03/2025I honestly didn't think that there would be so many bots/human bots. Fortunately, when you know what to look for they are easy to spot and block or mute. 010
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 22/03/2025After capturing Golden again, he didn't seem so eager to escape. I continued to put out food for his sibling, but a racoon found it and ate it despite my best efforts. Then one day the sibling vanished. I never found out what happened, but all the other strays slowly vanished to. #organgecat 030
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 15/03/2025On one of these trips outside he got spooked and took off running. In the middle of winter. I wasn't able to track him down despite the snow, but days later he was found back up in the rafters of the garage. So, I set out the trap again. (Sigh) #orangecat 010
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 08/03/2025Golden lived in the basement for many weeks, sleeping on top a set of tall shelves. Instantly learned to use the litter box and slowly learned to trust me and relative. In the end, a successful transition. But Golden wanted to be outside and so I would stay with him and put him back in the house. 020
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 08/03/2025I had a live capture cage trap (trapping stray cats at work to get them to a shelter) so I was able to capture Golden and bring him inside to slowly get him used to people and living in a house. His sibling was too scared though and would never get near it. Had seen Golden get caught. #Orangecat 040
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 01/03/2025Guess I should go over Golden's history. My relative lived alone and was elderly. They kept the garage door open so cats could get in and escape the (bad) weather. This includes abandon cats and the local ones with homes. Then we found that 2 cats, really kittens, had taken to living up in it. 140
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 22/02/2025I inherited a cat named Golden. A relative of mine recently passed and I got possession of this orange menace. I grew up around cats and am a cat person. But this near 3 year old is a handful some days. You will be seeing and hearing more about him as time goes on. 🐈 #orangecat 080
Solarmech @solarmech.bsky.social · 13/02/2025I hope for a new dawn and that it doesn't get too dark before the sun rises again. 030
