Yo the guy that helped me during the arc flash incident is in my YouTube comments, giving details from his perspective. SOME PEOPLE HEARD IT FROM 4 MILES AWAY 😳😳😳

Guess who's got no exposed thumbs, a burnt face, a cute wife and an extended stay in an acute burn unit?

Since I've got a ton of batteries and probably enough solar to make this make sense, I've decided to enroll in Time-of-Use billing with my utility! Just started yesterday, and I've been tweaking my inverter settings over the last month to make sure I understand how things are supposed to work.

Just finished up a small off-grid setup for a local CTC today! About 10kW of solar on a 6000XP EG4 inverter and 280ah battery. This system will get built and torn down by the class every year to give the kids exposure to the renewables industry. I love projects like this.

And now my rainwater mitigation for the greenhouse has passed inspection!! It's not the prettiest and I def need to adjust some things, but importantly the permit is getting closed 🥳

Sometimes when breakers won't stop fucking tripping, you gotta just throw some plywood in front of it to see if that knocks down the heat enough in the box

I hate Threads, but I'm a curious yet cynical bitch, so when I heard @gruber.foo's description of it as an algorithm that's meant to get you mildly upset, it all of a sudden clicked what I should try posting next. It worked 😂

derek the solarboi @solarboi.com · 02/03/2025

Granted, I'm only displaying these things at 500x500 pixels max, but the rest of the representations on the internet just look all blurred to hell, to me. Like, around the edges of the product, the screen, etc. Plus the logo on the inverter is too big, compared to the real life picture
