I was looking for an old build thread and came across this picture, so I thought an update would be fun. Alicia and Cithis ended up on the chopping block for this year but next year is more likely. There's also a non zero chance a simple build or two will get added to the end of the year 😅

Our #toxicyurivnjam entry! 🎉 written by @el3phantbird.bsky.social , art & code by me "rot with me": a disability horror yuri VN reflecting on the delicate line between resting and rotting. - 5k words, ~20-30 min - 18+ - 2 endings - 90+ images - hEDS screener extra bird-king.itch.io/rot-with-me

Main menu of the game; it has a collage of two women lying in a collage bed; there are plants coming from the corners and the title "rot with me" repeated several times across the composition.

one of the visual novel title cards; it says "0. delicate stems" and has sculptures of two hands clasped, with ribbon embroidery flowers cradling them

a collage wit a woman with butterfly wings and a bewildered expression in the foreground with a pins sticking out of her like a specimen; blood spot tests in the background. the text reads: "It's a very mild electrical stimulus. You might feel a little pressure. You might feel a little discomfort. The sensation that a malevolent force has reached inside your body and yanked your muscles forward, compelled your limbs to move in sudden and painful ways, that's good actually, it means you don't have nerve damage." "Please press the lancet against your finger. Please press your bloodied finger to the paper. Sorry, that's not enough blood. Please try again. Please try again. Please try squeezing your fingers purple. Press down on the bruise. Wring your fingers dry. If even the blood in your body won't cooperate how do you expect to get anything done?"

A green woman with lace flowers on her back curled up on the ground, with green tendrils coming off of her.
the text reads:
"It takes eight steps to get across the room. I make it five.

On the sixth step, my foot hits the ground at an angle that makes my knee slip to the side, and suddenly there is nothing underneath me. The bones slide past each other easily. I hit the floor hard, and wail."

Written on a saturated red background in desaturated yellow, capitalized letters, the title of the movie in English and Chinese. Makima is lying down, legs crossed, lifting her torso by leaning up against one arm. Her hand rests on Denji's shoulder, who is resting his head on her lap, one hand on her legs. Makima is looking mischievously at the viewer. She is wearing a white button down, a black tie, a black miniskirt and black, sheer tights with black stiletto heels.
