The Overton window is widening because people are getting extremely rich doing it. It's an attention economy. If you want attention, you do "edgy" sh*t. You nudge the Overton window in a way your audience likes or hates. They get dopamine. You get 💵. Rinse and Repeat. ♾️

The entire tech startup world is about to change. I'm cautiously happy about it. If we do it correctly, it will feature community, storytelling, and design over "products". It puts creatives back in an interesting position and DIY will dominate tech again. What are your thoughts about it?

⭐ Physical tech. Chips, datacenters, etc. ⭐ Social startups. Communities are hard to build and replace. ⭐Creative tech like games, stories, ideas. AI's still depend on a human with talent that can't be replicated. ⭐Design. My AI+ software works, but I'll pay because yours is easy and beautiful. 👇

However, even though I can replicate the service I paid $250/ year to use, I also can't create a startup around it because in 6 months everyone will realize that it's trivial with a moat of $3 in tokens and 20 minutes. 👇

I paid $20+ a month to invoice my clients. The service I used was create by talented hard working devs and designers. I couldn't do it as well myself. I canceled my subscription last year because now I can do it myself. Anyone can. And it will just get easier and better. 👇

If an AI can help a lone founder create what is now a billion dollar tech startup, then that's really an end of tech startups as they exist now. Because if one person + AI can make it, anyone + AI can make it, so who is going to "buy" it? Tech startups will have to adapt. 👇

1) When you create art, you create yourself. So it’s always important. 2) If you aren’t as good at something that you’d like to be good at, do it more. Not less. ✌️ Apologies for the pedantic reply but genuine art and commercially viable art rarely overlap. Then again it’s fine to take a break!

I mean more like I would love to be able to build a few kinds of models from scratch but it would literally take millions to actually do it. Never mind how hard it is to get/afford talent! It’s just a very expensive tech to get into IMHO. I’m just lucky I snagged a decent graphics card to USE it!

People are very mad about Sony ending the production of physical games. In other words people are very mad about the wrong thing. It's the DRM, not the disks. If you can't play the game without logging in for permission, share it, or copy it, who cares if it's on a disk? #Sony #PlayStation

Dawn of the Dead LARP or laser tag, tag, rock climbing, puzzle hunt, capture the flag, hide and seek, relay races, I spy, treasure/photo hunt, relay races with mall themes, drawing and graffiti games if you can wreck the place. Any ball games like four square or even kickball can be cool 😎

I love seeing the prompts. I wish more people would include full prompts when cowriting with AI. Kind of like the expanded DVD behind the scenes. It’s so hard to get a model to express a spontaneous opinion that isn’t guided by a prompt. Maybe impossible.

I think sometimes UX is the window into the dead-eyed soul of this new crop of tech companies. I signed up for OpenRouter and after creating my account a marketing survey popped up on every page with no way to cancel it. It's hard, as a UX designer, to convey how creepy this is. #UX #AI
