i remember seeing Mayor Lindsay speaking at the local shopping center when i was a child, and i was entranced because nyc was my world and he ran it. children remember emotions and he is doing a great job of winning their hearts. i love these videos; he's obviously having a great time.

4 yrs recovery work allowed me to step up and do service for my daughter by babysitting while she was in the hospital. It was something I did not think myself reliable enough to do before. Serenity prayer rocks! Things I have to accept today may be changeable as I keep working my program. Grateful!

thank you for your words, best to you. daughter just gave birth to twins after only 30 weeks of pregnancy and 2 months of her hospitalization to keep them in place -- a tough time for us all. and all this mama who marched on DC in the 70s could think was -- thank god she doesn't live in texas.

I'm grateful to the 12 steps that help me live one day at a time and not future-trip. I'm grateful that focusing on babysitting my 2 yr old grand and nurturing my clowder keep me able to avoid doom-scrolling most of the day. My power is in the present moment. #12steps

Everyone loves this new toy the feline behaviorist recommended. I hired her to help with Pippin's issues, and all of her suggestions have woken us all up again. It seems we've been depressed since Samwell Tarly passed last summer. We used to play, the five of them and me, all the time. #cats

2018 i switched to a whole food plant based no salt/oil/sugar way of eating, like Forks Over Knives promotes. i follow Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen nutrition protocol. i reversed my heart & lung disease and lost all joint pain. 2022 i joined OA and learned how to lose the compulsion. #12steps #wfpb

i was an early adopter of the insulin pump and the continuous glucose sensor, which helps my success tremendously. but when i was diagnosed and given a food plan to follow, i realized i had an eating disorder bc i literally couldn't follow a food plan to save my life. #t1d #diabetes #OA #12steps

i've had type 1 diabetes since my mid thirties, and i'm 68 now. my brother was diagnosed at age 12 and he's 67 now. he's just been released from almost 2 months in the hospital with diabetic complications (foot surgeries). granted, when he was diagnosed there was not the technology available.

at a visit with my dr he told me that he's never seen a diabetic with such good numbers (blood work). i was so faclempt i forgot to say "do you think my whole food plant based way of eating has anything to do with it? neither he nor my endocrinologist did at first. after 6 years, they may. #wfpb

i feel for you. my two boys both had PU surgery after several obstructions, and they were on urinary prescription foods and all home care was spot on. right to the hospital when they start straining, folks! they can be gone in under 24 hours. i hope your baby heals quickly. 😘

My man Pippin. We're at the vet for confirmation of diabetes and a treatment plan. I'm a type 1 diabetic so the needles and blood testing don't scare me. But oh, my poor sweet boy can't catch a break. #cats
