I feel very lucky that so many of our friends from out of StL made it down to StL for our wedding. One of my favorite memories is getting to pick everyone up at the airport for our 20 minutes of uninterrupted visiting. I continue to be chuffed by the love of Shnucks.

4 years ago tonight Rob and I were doing our rehearsal dinner at one of our fave stl places and my aunt the nun got a doge coin fortune cookie fortune and she pronounced it "doggie coin" because her's is the only pure soul out there and God wouldn't let her tarnish it with doge.

As a professional, I own it. I had to or it would have destroyed me as a kid. I could never help being exactly who I was, being exactly who I am, and when you are that sort of person, 50% of the population will think you’re weird (derogatory) and 50% will think you’re weird (cool)

I remember crying all the time cause kids just… thought I was weird! And were mean about calling me weird! One day my dad told me I wasn’t weird actually, just a couple of bubbles off center (it’s a leveling joke, my dad is also a couple of bubbles off center). That helped.

The first day of pre-school, when I introduced myself. An older bully girl didn’t like that I didn’t think my last name was bad, so I was weird and it stuck. It followed me through grade school, got horrible in high school, leveled out in college, and now that I’m an adult, it’s something I own.

Bender started singing the second we got them in the car and knock on wood it’s been an easy introduction to Bowie. You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to adopt two abandoned (and one medically complex) cockatiels from a rescue, but we FINALLY did it!
