#DiscoverFeed Things BlueSky thinks I want to see and shows me lots of Cats (nope) Dogs (Def no) Pizza (it's food, end of) Knitting (takes skill I don't have) Naked men doing gym (guys, please stop) Not once have I ever shown interest in any of the above, well maybe knitting got the odd heart 🧦

Ive done sub3 quite a few times, I've got to a point, after many years of injuries, that I'm happier running a well structured slower race than failing badly because I went out too fast chasing another sub3. Being an older runner at 55 another injury might be the end. My goal race is next year

A night away from #Belfast Groomsport💰how the other half live Pub lunch, a walk, and another walk tomorrow along the coast🐚 Sun is shining, an ice-cream van is calling and there's no one here 💚 The first boat left here for America in 1636, religious persecution no surprise there, it didn't make it

I like trails, forests, mountains, towpaths. Track is fast, and your right, predictable. Which is why my brain just switches off.

My super fast days are gone, but I have moments 😂 Running has amazing people, everyone on different trajectories. I run with a great team, and it helps

I love all types of #Running but track is kinda boring to do in training 10x 800 with 75 sec recovery A pre #Dublin #Marathon session to stimulate leg turnover. I only have two more runs before the taper starts on Monday. I'm fit, but it hasn't been a great block, too many meh🤷 days 🩼 #Belfast

I was on twitter from 2008, It got dreadful towards the end BlueSky gives me a bubble of sanity, it might be quiet but I'll take that over the sheer volume of shite on Facebook, Instagram and the other meta platforms. If BlueSky goes, social media for me, is done Everyone on here are decent people

Our dentist charges £20 a month each, for that you stay on the clinics register, it doesn't cover any dental work, that's extra. There are no NHS dentists taking work in my area.

It's ok, it just flared up, old man's legs. Really didn't like the Adidas pro4 shoes I was wearing, maybe that contributed to it.

BRA were brilliant live, I seen them in the empire (I think🍻) I do remember they came on early as their own warm up act with different outfits/wigs on, but then I was lit as usual, so that could be my imagination

Ill find something to do with it, its for a Belfast retailer. I live in the city but my workshop is in Banbridge. I get to drive around the countryside. But grey, no, its my most popular colour by a long way. I deliver to houses that are top to bottom grey, everything. It suits Banbridge really.

I'm a vintage guy, my house is 100 years+ and the furniture is styled for the house. Of course I sell what people want to buy, and unfortunately mostly that's just dreadful grey everything, it's everywhere But furniture, I have enough x2

Yeah, but age man you know, 50s is tough, I'm doing spin class, physiotherapy gym and yoga, I dont do the 120km weeks anymore, it's all about keeping on my feet. I have targeted next May, I'll be 55, Belfast marathon as my last road marathon, I enjoy training but Its too much to maintain without 🩼

It goes quick but you can get in that shape again with regular runs. Your engines good, that was only a few months ago, just keep working on your aerobic runs building the mileage up, I started my return with a 29 minute 5k in January 💪

I don't think so, but sure there's so much on everywhere. I decided to give a fast road marathon one last shot after coming back from serious illness last year, ill go back to trails full time after Belfast marathon in May, Dublin im pacing my road running club sub3 team to 20 miles.

Steve @sodabred.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Brilliant🙌, there was a big crew running from my club TrailRunNi they all had a great time. I had to sit on my hands and not enter with Dublin marathon next month.

I planted a few, and forgot, they are making the most of the last of the sunny days. I should have used bigger pots, I'd meant to move them.
