One of the things i dislike the most about media now a days is that stuff isn't allowed to be average anymore. Everything has to either be a masterpiece or slop, no inbetween. I'm also guilty of this but just sucks we can't play a game that is just "fine" and enjoy it for that.

This is why Reignited had a much harsher reception: We are tired of people who don't play the game having more say than us. Reignited is the breaking point of a long compounding issue.

This is why i've been saying since the beginning of the year that i don't like the marketing of this. Everything just reeks of "hey guys, see? It's just like OSRS!" I don't want OSRS, if i did i would be playing that game, which by many accounts, is better than your game.

The bricks on the background, the brown aesthetic (iconic for OSRS because brown is a warmer colour even tho OSRS IS MOSTLY GREY), the iconic yellow text on brown background. It's all there, it's just OSRS, but more modern. Where is Runescape in all of this? Why shouldn't i just play OSRS then?

I think one of the reasons why the new style just falls so flat for me is that they look like they took the most iconic aspects of the OSRS UI aesthetics, run it throught UE4 and called it a day. It's like seeing a cheap copy, an imitation of something else.

The weird thing abour Reignited is that it's also being framed by some people as a way to save the game. And that's weird because the game this past year has actually been improving including gaining players. So i ask, save the game from what? Fuck it, i might actually make a video after all.

Someone being gay just makes it more likely that they experience and interact with GNC, it doesn't automatically make them understand it just because they are part of the same comunity. Work still needs to be done. That's why cishets can also get it, understanding gender comes with work.

Sometimes i get annoyed when ppl assume that gay people have some reason to be transphobic, like their sexuality is threatned or something. The reality is that they grew up in a cishet society and learned gender from it. Trans people are the same, which is why some trans ppl are super transphobic.

I honestly didn't spend as much time on it as i wish, but it's such a charming game and a lot of the systems it has are quite creative. It's still around being kept alive with ppl still playing. The devs from it went on to create Slime Rancher!

the surprise for anyone who hadn't done the quest before. One of my favourite things RuneScape every did was out of nowhere, release Anachronia. Not knowing what to expect, just a piece of new land and 0 info. It made it really memorable. OSRS would've told you everything.

you actually get to use it. Even 10 years after the quest, i got such an amazing surprise over it, and it made for such an hype moment. For contrast, in OSRS not only did they mention everything about the torm demons cause of the rewards, they made the stone a major part of the marketing ruining

I did While Guthix Sleeps 10 years after it's release. I had 0 clue wtf was going to happen and given that up until that point, you never had any major stakes in the game, that the stone was just some myth that would end up being something less. Imagine my shock when not onyl do you find the stone

Crazy that most of these i haven't played in ages, but they are the ones i played tongs growing up. In some cases here i decided to pick only 1 from a franchise to not clog the list. i just picked my fav from each. (Osrs, RaC, Jak, Sly, GT and AoE all fall in this category).

That's where i'm ending my league. Unfortunally i didn't have as much time to play as i wanted, so i made the decision to go pet hunting isntead of hunting dragon and getting disappointed. League pet hunting is my thing now. We got 24(25 if you count the 2nd KQ version) new pets! From 3 to 28!

It also doesn't help that it felt very rushed to try and tied to the "see guys, we're going back to our roots!" marketing thing they have going on, which i never liked. I'd rather RS be a unique game standing on it's own than chase some old lost nostalgia.
