Ravines, multi-use trails and parks? Sounds serene. So will the city maintain them in winter like roads get ploughed and salted? No? And will we avoid closing them for years on end for implausible reasons? Also no? Well guys, sorry but it's a puzzling mystery why people want space on the road

The most Toronto take - we're so diverse that it's equally divided on whether the city is moving in the right or wrong direction. Amazing. A truly crowning achievement.

If Billy Bishop will not be expanded, what is its business plan assuming ALTO gets built?

Another design flaw was putting the Martin Goodman Trail there without eliminating the Little Norway Crescent intersection entirely. Just put up jersey barriers or big rocks or something at the top end of the Crescent. Stadium Road can serve motorists going to and from the Crescent.

Barry - a journalistic program would have given airtime to more than one perspective. Another perspective might have also been persuasive to you and other listeners if it had been given airtime.

Hello @jasonthorne.bsky.social - could Toronto please make King Street look like this picture? Shelter from bad weather, level boarding, lighting, a place to sit, and Presto card readers!

It appears the Toronto subway should probably split the Yonge/University/Spadina/TYSSE line into two parts with separate numbers starting at Union. Every other option will make sense to locals but not visitors/newcomers.

Laugh all you like but, around 20 years ago, I drove from Toronto to Winnipeg (and points beyond) and my only fixed goal for Winnipeg was to cross at the famous Portage and Main intersection. I was disappointed that day. So glad it’s finally fixed.

As of 2025, I'd settle for a bus from St. Catharines to NOTL scheduled around the GO train schedule. It's basically impossible to get to NOTL from Toronto by transit in a timely way, even in the summertime, and I just don't get it.

It's easy to forget but, until the mid-1990s, Toronto was small, boring and conservative (morally & fiscally). Definitely Montreal's little kid sibling in Canada. Sunday stops for churches were only recently abolished here. Current-day Toronto is big and exciting - but the growing pains are real.

Hello @thewaroncars.bsky.social - the world may be falling down around us but could you please do an episode about drive-thrus? My brain broke when I heard the jingle about drive-thru pharmacies in this podcast.
