Last month when I was back in Barbados for my Birthday, I had to check out what the abandoned Four Seasons Hotel looked like. Since I documented it 2 years ago, today much of the thick jungle around it has been curiously cut down... sign of future progress?

I ended up buying a vintage brochure for Canadian Pacific Ships, specifically for the Empress of Canada which would later become Carnival Cruise Line's first ship, the Mardi Gras. In the concept art for the original ship, you can see a fimilar color pattern...

It's occured to me that i've never shared the high quality scans of Jazzland/Six Flags Nola origianl master plan concept. These are dated right around 1990 with the final concept in 1998. Obviously the scope of the project changed quite dramatically by opening.

I ended up getting really sick from a bad Flu early this month & lost a lot of time for video production. It looks like my return to YT will be later in Feb than originally anticipated. Still aiming to have one BSF and one BST for this month. Sorry for the delay!

Happy New Year everyone! I'm taking January off from uploading as I do every year. I'm taking advantage of a little down time, but also to catch up on some filming for BSF & BST. Both channels will be back to their regular schedules in February!

I am incredibly excited to announce that i've been working on a new feature documentary as Executive Producer called Stolen Kingdom! It's a film chronicling the insane mischief, scandal, & theft at Walt Disney World. It will make it's world premier at the 2025 Slamdance Festival!

This new vid from @brightsunfilms.bsky.social on the downfall of Payless Shoes is an apt allegory for the greater economic situation, I think. Private equity buys up once-popular company and hollows it out for profit, everyone else loses (prices up, competition down). www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6no...

Following the RMS Olympic’s scrapping, her First Class Lounge was purchased by a small hotel owner in the village of Alnwick, England and reassembled. I took a trip out to see it and it’s genuinely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done

Netflix - please stop minimising the end credits of movies to suggest something else. Let viewers enjoy the soundtrack and see the cast and crew that worked on the film. We'll exit it ourselves when ready to. #film #filmsky #movies #moviesky

It's crazy how some companys just have a larger cultural impact than others. Payless had nearly 5,000 stores yet media on it in the early days is very sparce. I guess they just didn't have the same kind of cultural impact that would have made people care to archive stuff.
