I'm actually new to the Crave, and I kind of “stumbled upon” this effect while looking for a way to make the LFO run slower than the lowest speed you can set with the knob. Combined with the Noise OSC, this creates a constant wind effect. 😉

Playing around with the Behringer Crave. Lost in the sounddesign of ... wind. Oops, another hour has flown by. Never mind. Welcome to LV-426.

“Glory belongs to ghosts and poets. What you hear and dream isn’t the same as what you live - blur the distinction at your own peril, lad.” -Steven Erikson @snurretop.bsky.social’s debut as Thorasuul, As Close As Brothers, is a fantasy synth album written around Malazan Book of the Fallen’s Fiddler.

🎧 “As Close As Brothers” is the debut album of my fantasy synth & ambient project “Thorasuul”. It’s what you might call a passion project. The songs are centered on the experiences of Fiddler, a main character from my fav book series, “Malazan Book of the Fallen”. I hope you enjoy it.

An unorthodox song deserves an unorthodox video, right? More or less like almost everything we do... and how boring it would be to always do the same thing 😇🎶 Happy weekend 🤗

An ambient collection exploring the sounds that exist between the dark and the light. Bridging the gap between peaceful ambient and immersive dark ambient, this is my first formal EP release following a series of stand-alone singles. #Ambient #DarkAmbient endsgrave.bandcamp.com/album/penumbra

🎧 This is a piece from my upcoming fantasy synth / dungeon synth album. The gorgeous cover from the masterful artist @kvacm.bsky.social is finished, and you can see a glimpse of it in the video. If you’re familiar with the books, it gives you a clue about the character the album is centered around.

thank you for the insights 👍 im also thinking a lot about my general workflow and how i can include and use the hardware the best. atm i just happily get lost in sound design or just playing around with the new toys. 😀

Oh, I will 😀. I managed to set things up so I can use a hybrid mode or without a DAW. I can record directly into the sampler or just use Bitwig instead, without having to re-route everything. I now try to find a good way to create arrangements and consistent gain management also is a challenge.

🎧Learning a hybrid workflow that combines my new synth hardware and my DAW is a steep learning curve. It feels like relearning the production process from scratch. I didn’t think it would be like this, but I love the path I’m on. I learn something new every day about both worlds to create new music.
