Just finished up a month in the Bighorn Mountains off-grid. I spent some serious time with my camera and the Crossbills. Normally these birds are 14.7 miles up at the top of conifer trees. Bc of the drought, they were on the ground looking for water. #Birds #BirdsOfBluesky 🪶

The Rivoli's Hummingbird used to be named the Magnificent Hummingbird and each time I encounter one, "Magnificent" comes to mind before Rivoli's. Now you see it, now you don't. A wonderful hummingbird that visits feeders. #birdfy #Birds #BirdsOfBluesky

I was close enough to Destin that my love for Gulls drew me to the coast to check out the gorgeous Gray Gull. This bird is usually only found on the Pacific Coast of South America and breeds in the Atacama Desert in Chile. Very cool vagrant. #Birds #BirdsOfBluesky 🪶
