Assuming all fanfiction is written poorly really just shows you've never been caught in the chokehold of a 150k slowburn that changed the course of your life at 2:40am written by someone whose username has 4 Zs in it and they only wrote one fic and then vanished like an ethereal legend.

I did just order a new brand, Daisy Nail Polish (DND) and while more expensive, I've heard MUCH better things. I am hoping that this one will work out much better for me.

Today I threw out all of my gel polish. Due to the formula that the brand Beetles uses, I have a reaction each time I use them. Where my fingers get super itchy. Using them on the nail stand and simply pressing the nails on makes it less. But it's still there. I deserve better.

Kyriel 🦋 Commission for Geminiswede on #VGen #ffxiv #art #aura

Illustration of Geminiswede's Au'Ra, named Kyriel. She has dark pink hair, fair skin and white scale patterns on her face, arms, chest, horns and tail. She's dressed in a black corset with blue lace details and a black belt with blue gems on it. She's also wearing black lace sleeves. The lighting is moody, and the background is dark. Blue butterflies are flying around her, she's holding one in front of her with her finger.

And then when I'm not invited, I lose the ability to do anything but drown in my own emotions. And on nights like tonight I feel as if any progress on my own self worth has gone directly out the window.

But other days, I want to be wanted. To be invited to join in on the thing everyone else is doing. But I don't have the ability to speak up about it because I become instantly convinced all my friends suddenly hate me and don't want me involved. Especially if it's a preformed group.

An unfortunate thing about me is that I have severe RSD (Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria). What this looks like is that I need to be told that I am invited/wanted. Most days I can try to ignore it and just do my own thing.

I've noticed this over the years, that I've tried to keep the "annoying" part of myself hidden because people I no longer talk to told me to. To make myself small, even in my own spaces. And it is so hard to rewrite that. But I am trying.

I actually have! She changed character completely - from an Xaela with black scales to my beloved purple Seeker of the Moon. But story-wise for Kamila, I've also changed it. Instead of rewriting her main story completely over though, I wrote an entire second canon for her. For Koana instead of Raha.

Fandom has always filled the gap that canon left open, and if new canon drops, deciding not to throw out all the worldbuilding you’ve done in the intervening time does not mean you don’t love canon text either. Don’t be so black and white, and don’t make people feel shit for not changing their lore.

I am not always perfect at this either, but a metric I try to follow when it comes to art/fanfic/other creative works: If you liked it enough to share it in the group chat/Discord server, then you liked it enough to tell that to the person who made it.
