Let's Encrypt keeps our Internet secure. Love to donate, and now they even have a nice looking limited edition t-shirt for bigger donations at letsencrypt.org/donate/. Do I want a t-shirt with the Let's Encrypt root ca certificate and logo? Well:
The "After all... why not?" meme image featuring Bilbo Baggins from the movie Lord of the Rings contemplating keeping the ring. In this meme image the Let's Encrypt limited edition t-shirt has been inserted into the second frame in place of the ring. The t-shirt is blue, almost teal, with a white Let's Encrypt logo and the full ciphertext of their root public key.

Built a simple macro thingy in Rust for ATProto that allows me to automatically generate lexicons from structs and function parameter and return types build time. Reads comments and attributes. Work reasonably well. Now looking at whether these same macros can be used to generate axum validation.
Rust code for a struct with lexicon params macro:

/// Query parameters for listStyles
#[derive(Deserialize, LexiconParams)]
pub struct ListStylesParams {
    /// Maximum number of styles to return
    #[lexicon(min = 1, max = 100)]
    pub limit: Option<u32>,
    /// Pagination cursor for fetching next page
    pub cursor: Option<String>,
}Rust code for tagging function as lexicon query:

#[lexicon_query(id = "tld.myapp.style.listStyles")]
pub async fn list_styles(
    Query(params): Query<ListStylesParams>,
) -> Result<Json<ListStylesOutput>, ApiError> {
  // Body here
}

Finally completed my new coffee brew setup. Fellow grinder, goose neck boiler, and scale with automatic water amount calculation. I went with the classical Chemex pour over brewer and thick filters. Having just brewed my first coffee I have to say I’m pretty excited. This is super delicious.

So another Donkey Kong: Bananza screenshot. This game is just really pretty. Just look at that color palette! Each level is an art piece onto itself.
Donkey Kong and Pauline standing on a desert plateau in front is a number of chimney stacks. Each chimney has colorful smoke coming out in mixes of bright tones of pink, yellow and green. The sky shines in a yellow and pink hue. A mine cart track can be seen in the background.

Donkey Kong: Bananza is fun enough to bring back some of that childhood glee experienced when playing a fantastic new platformer. Beautiful art direction and music combined with funny destructible environments make for a fantastic experience. Do recommend. Haven’t played enough to grant a score.
Donkey Kong and Pauline faces the camera. They stand on yellow grass with mountainous cliffs of grey and a brilliant blue sky behind them. Cliffs have partially been destroyed, now featuring holes and damage across them.

A bit impractical, but really fun. A clean and crisp Belgian amber.
An hour glass shaped beer glass with clear caramel colored amber ale resting in a wood frame. Glass is on a brown table next to a wax light which cast a brilliant light through the beer.

Beer highlight of my Belgian holiday week so far has been Tet de Mort Triple. A sweet beer with low metallic aftertaste separating it from the big names. Rich sweetness and banana esters make for a sweet triple. The glass it’s cool and the name cool. 8/10 of there about.
A Tete de Mort Triple bottle and filled Tete de Mort glass standing on a small table in the Beers Yesterday’s World pub and antique store.

The triple beer is rich yellow/golden in color filled in a skull shaped glass. The bottle is brown with a black and golden label. The label features a skull pouring gold colored ale through its mouth which drains right through the skull’s neck.

The Dutch La Trappe Quadrupel. A delicious Trappist ale with a nice sweet aroma of caramel and dried fruit (raisin). Fruity esters (banana) present as well as some spice. A very strong ale at 10%. Definitely a nice dessert beer for when you want something extra nice. 9/10! #beer
A La Trappe Quadrupel beer bottle and filled glass on a white counter. Illuminated by under cabinet LED lights. The beer is medium (caramel brown) presented in an original La Trappe glass. The glass has a golden edge around the top and an ornate stem.

The Leffe Blonde has a hint more of the banana ester taste and feels a bit more spicy/bitter on the after taste. While still sweet it is not as sweet as the Brugse Zot. It is hard to pick out a favorite of the two! I’d just buy them both if you are into blonde ales.
An empty Leffe Blond bottle next to a filled Chimay glass. The beer is somewhat clear with a blonde color. The Leffe Blond bottle has a yellow label and gold aluminum wrap on the neck with the beer style in black letters. The glass and bottle is framed by a white stone counter top and wall.

I apologize to all Belgians for drinking a De Halve Maan out of a Chimay glass. But what a blonde. Sweet with notes of fruity esters. Reasonably light bodied and not overly metallic (as I find some Belgians to be, though I enjoy that taste). They just got it at the Norwegian wine monopoly.

Refreshed my Norsky feed generator dashboard with some new stats about how many events and posts it is processing per second. Lots of data flowing through a feed generator indeed. 😅 norsky.snorre.io.
Screenshot showing https://norsky.snorre.io feed generator dashboard. It has a simple header in the top with the feed logo and title Norsky. The logo depicts white clouds on a blue sky over a Norwegian fjord in a stylistic vector drawing.

The dashboard has 7 items laid out in a nice grid. The two first items shows the number of firehose events and posts being processed per second with the numbers in a big font. The four next items shows line diagrams of the number of posts in Norwegian, Bokmål, Nynorsk, and Sami respectively. You can chose the time interval, hour, day, or week. The final grid item shows a stream of Norwegian posts.

Monument Valley 2 is a seriously pretty game.
Screenshot from Monument Valley 2. Two characters stand in front of a doorway. Light is spilling out of the door into the dark room in which the characters find themselves. The characters are standing on a narrow pink walkway. The light reflects slightly blurred in the water surrounding the walkway, a single ring formed by a falling drop revealing that is indeed water. The characters look ready to face whatever is through the doorway.

Tiny Glade is finally out and I've been enjoying throwing together a tower-y mansion. More towers are always better right? It has a cozy pond and there are lots of flowers. It is quite relaxing putting together a little diorama like this.
Mansion as seen from front. A path down to the mansion with fence and flowers following the path. There is a pond going around the side of the house. Three towers reach up towards the sky giving the mansion a somewhat magical look. The mansion is built from stone with grey stones, and blue and purple-ish roof tiling.The mansion seen from the back. There is a big pond filled with water lilies. In the middle of the pond is a stone patio construction with a roof terrace. A stone path leads out to the terrace from the back of the mansion. Purple flowers grow next to the pond.The mansion seen in the night. A stars dot the night sky illuminating the scene. The stones making up the mansion almost blend in with the night sky. Torches light up the path down to the mansion and light can be seen coming out of the windows.

Made a cute little commune with a shared flower garden. This is what peek living looks like.
Screenshot from Tiny Glade. Features a little housing commune with brick and stone houses forming a circle. Each house has different features like window placements, building additions like small towers, etc. The game's buildings look like old Medieval rock houses. A small shared garden in the middle adds some blue and purple color to the commune. A low stone fence frames in the commune in a circle like shape.

Added some more brick fences and building mass. The game is perfect for this. Making small adjustments as you go along. The game reminds me of Bob Ross' saying: "We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents."

My first Tiny Glade build. What a wonderful little castle.
A small castle in the middle of a forest. In the front of the castle is a garden with beautiful blue, purple, and white flowers. Through the garden winds a road up to the castle. The castle consist of four buildings.

On the left is a round stone brick building adjoined by an orange house with a grey stone tower on top. This makes up the biggest part of the castle.

On the right is a raised square building standing on stone brick legs. Each building has red-orange tiled roofing. To get to each building you enter through a doorway in a wall that separate the garden from the building entrances.

If this isn't the cutest little sheep I don't know. Just installed the demo of Tiny Glade, a small meditative castle builder game developed by Pounce Light (super talented game developers Anastasia Opara and Tomasz Stachowiak). If you've played Townscaper this game is kind of like that.
Using the game cursor in Tiny Glade to pet one of the sheep. A big heart appears atop the sheep and the sheep happily bleats. The game looks a little bit like high quality cell-shaded graphics with very nice textures, lots of green grass and a lush forest in the background.
