Do you mix by ear or by gear? (visual) Trick question, both! 😈 But I find that people hearing that answer and further extrapolating what you leave to ears vs what you’re using visuals / gear to dial in is helpful. Allows them to separate the art from the engineering, if that makes sense.

Relate to this deeply, and wish I didn’t. I don’t want to exhaust those around me by needing assurance and validation but it’s manifested the complete opposite way now where I can’t ask for that without feeling like a burden. Definitely neurodivergence, RSD, and PTSD-C from childhood at play there.
