Wyvern Era is finally starting to wrap up 🦖🌟 The game is slated to be around 180ish pages of pure monster hunting tactics goodness. It'll have 9 weapon classes, 30+ monsters, and 24 battle maps. Also~ I've said it elsewhere, but I'm almost certainly going to be releasing the game for free on itch!

Figured out a neat little trick to do procedural directional pointers on speech bubbles without any code or shaders: Just rotate a child node under a vertically squished parent! Works best if the bubble has a simple shape and the pointer is chonky. #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

Fun fact: They did this exact same thing in 3D with the characters in Vagrant Story All you have to do is duplicate the model, offset it by a few onscreen pixels, and set it to fullbright/tinted. The lit character model hides the polygons of the secondary mesh, giving a nice rim light
