LOVE FriXion pens. (And highlighters!) You probably know this but just in case 😅: you don't actually need the friction. Just the heat. So you can definitely lose work depending on the environment. Write a note and leave it in a car, for example. Definitely not for important notes/drawings, FYI!

Disappointed. The green is too neon/lime, at least in these photos, plus his sleeves are the wrong shape. The face is cute but wanted the famous ginormous frown. Would have bought an army of 4, literally, but now...? 😭 (The DF one is amazing though! 😍 Go check it out at Makeship if you haven't!)

There's a neighbouring complex with rats that come visit at night. They like to climb up into these bushes and hang out or cook pasta or whatever rats do in bushes. This was daytime but yeah, I half expected her to have suddenly procured a rat upon exiting from the bush. Thankfully she didn't. 😅

It took me a while to figure out which one series to recommend to Taskmaster newcomers but eventually noticed that I just always said 7. How could I not? (I frequently, for no apparent reason, channel Phil Wang and yell "A LIIIIME!" at the top of my lungs. It's actually very healing.)

I think I've settled on a memorial tat idea too. Very abstract cuz I'm not a name/dates person but I'll know when I look at it! I just need a tattoo artist to take it and make it not boring.😅 It could be neat as dotwork too but also as very minimalist linework. Gotta find a fitting artist (or 2).

I think it'd be pretty cool to do it in dotwork, and somehow combine the crater background + starfield. But I also want it small so maybe no bg at all. Also not sure where to put it yet. But I'm narrowing it down. Then I'm like 98% sure I'll get addicted and more tattoos would quickly follow. 😅

Fun fact: I never got a tattoo only cuz I couldn't decide what! I figured I never would. Then ~10 years ago I realised of course I want the Apollo boot print, duh. Been sitting on it and trying to decide on a style but I will get it!!! (Also designing a memorial tat so I can do both together. 👍)

I figured that description might be obvious to people who'd heard of him. 🤣 One of the free models I saw up there to print was titled "Marcus the Worm - Chilling Christmas Vibes Edition". People seem to really enjoy the weird creepy worm man thing and I love that for them.

I'm not sure if folks know that all the art for Neopets Magazine was still done by the in-house Neopets art team! Very little was outsourced back then when it came to merch/tie-ins, which was kinda unheard of at the time. A couple of my spreads, from my last summer working at Neopets:

Did not have "Minho cosplays Vash the Stampede at the SHINee concert" on my bingo card...

Four members of SHINee after their concert last night. They're all dressed in red and black diesel punk/post-apocalyptic styling. Second from the left is Minho in a long, ankle-length dark red trench coat with two rows of buttons down the front, holes and tears down at the bottom hem, and a high collar that covers his neck. I'd just called Tokki off harassing rabbits when a strange lady started accosting her in doggo voice, saying things like, "Hi, Jiménez! Good Jiménez! You're so pretty, Jiménez!" 🤨 After lots of confusion between us both, we think we solved it. She'd misheard me when I said, "Let's go, ya menace." 🤦
