I'm not sure if folks know that all the art for Neopets Magazine was still done by the in-house Neopets art team! Very little was outsourced back then when it came to merch/tie-ins, which was kinda unheard of at the time. A couple of my spreads, from my last summer working at Neopets:

Did not have "Minho cosplays Vash the Stampede at the SHINee concert" on my bingo card...

Four members of SHINee after their concert last night. They're all dressed in red and black diesel punk/post-apocalyptic styling. Second from the left is Minho in a long, ankle-length dark red trench coat with two rows of buttons down the front, holes and tears down at the bottom hem, and a high collar that covers his neck. I'd just called Tokki off harassing rabbits when a strange lady started accosting her in doggo voice, saying things like, "Hi, Jiménez! Good Jiménez! You're so pretty, Jiménez!" 🤨 After lots of confusion between us both, we think we solved it. She'd misheard me when I said, "Let's go, ya menace." 🤦

Alexa's random good morning fact was that it's Shirley Temple's birthday. I just so happened to have bought this (along with a bunch of others) and hadn't tried it yet so I cracked it open. IT'S DELICIOUS.

This artist popped up on my feed with the most adorable puppy and bunny stickers that are perfect for my Hobonichi Weeks planning. Went to buy some and suddenly got NEOPETS'D so of course I had to grab those too. modoodles.shop

5 themed sticker sheets spread out on a deskmat. The included color stickers are of things like bunnies, puppies, duckies, flowers, honey, and stamps, all in the artists cute doodle style. There's also one sheet of Neopets stickers in her style, with several species and items from the site. Also a Meepit snuck in there because they're shifty little buggers.

When no one makes "patches" you like for your dog's harness, print them yourself! (Achievement is from MakerWorld. Made the other two myself.) I need to fill the other side now. Taking suggestions! 🤔 Although tbh, one will have to be Wiggle-Butt related methinks.

Review of my ginormous new hoodie: + Facilitates comfortable gremlining at my desk or disappearing my arms for warmth +/- Lacking the One True Neopet, still cute + Aligns with my mood 97.64% of any given day - Presents some sort of weird gelatinous food that doesn't exist ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Would restock again.

Made a 3D model and FDM printed one instead. (Resin printer out of commission atm.) Then I cackled like a madwoman. The fidelity is incredible for FDM wtf?! Gotta experiment a bit to dial in the quality as best I can, then I'll reveal this stupid item that's not worth the hype but makes me smile.
