for those who only know me online, this is who you’re talking to

My Moomin character is the Groke, defined as: You are quiet and observant, which might be misinterpreted by others. You don't intend it that way, but you can come across as reserved, even though you are just searching for warmth and connection.
Your sensitive nature gives you a unique perspective, but beware of building walls around yourself.

For my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, I made 50 tiny doodle frames, showingcasing big and small events from their life together, as well as their hobbies, jobs, pets, places where they lived and traveled to, and more. Assembled on a frame!

Every night he would longingly look out into the sky, smile, and blush. 'You're so beautiful' Bert muttered. 'Oh I know,' a nebulous voice responded."

Kid lit art postcard for Valerie Nelson. email is valerienelsonart@gmail.com and websites are snailerie.co and valerie-nelson.com. Illustration shows a rabbit, cat, and dog character walking over the top of a hill. The rabbit says “We made it!”, the cat says “We’ve reached the peak!”, and the dog says “It’s all downhill from here!”. Silly dog thinks that phrase means something positive.

Drawing of Little My, a small girl in a red dress, sliding down a hill. She is drawn by Tove Jansson from the Moomin series. The text reads: "WHEN you're angry, then you're angry," thought Little My, peeling her potato with her teeth. "Sometimes you have to be angry. Every little creature has the right to get angry."
